UNDERGROUND BUNKER, Emerald City
Monday, October 30, 2500 9:25 AM
"Okay, I think that's all necessary information needed to be publicized for now. It would be better if this information will spread for the Glints to be aware. Oh well…send."
I stretched my arms as I finished publishing the information I got from that other me. I turned off my laptop and looked at the time. There's still 35 minutes left before the meeting starts. I contacted the landlady after we got the warning of an incoming glitch. She said she's safe and well in the private bunker underneath the lodge. It's a relief, since she can't walk well even with a cane to support her. She told me that Shirley, the one living next to her room, is the one who took care of her. When glitches came, I'm always the one who assisted her to go to the bunker.
I guess it's time for me to go.

I'm currently with my class. To make sure that no one noticed it, I used tinted glasses to hide my silver eyes. It concerns me to be honest. I don't want to get pestered by a rain of questions because of the changes.
Oh, wait…
I looked at that creature. He's talking with his friends while we're all waiting for our teacher, Mr. Mega to come.
I think that attention-seeking playboy saw it; well I don't care about that retard anyway.
As if the gods read my thoughts, Kevin sneezed loudly.
"A sneeze…?"
"Is something wrong Kevin?"
"No… there's nothing at all."
"Is that so?"
Hope you die from sneezing non-stop.
As I've been thinking such thoughts with malicious intent, Mr. Mega finally came and told the class to settle down.
"So, is everyone in the class present?"
"Yes sir!"
Everyone in my class responded with full energy. Geez, you can use that spunk in academics you know.
"Before I give you the protocols of Emerald City bunker, I would like to inform you first about the situation on the surface. According to the authorities, two cities are involved in this glitch; Emerald City and Platinum City. The authorities advised all of us to follow the protocols. For now…"
Anyway, we're currently in a classroom as Mr. Mega told us some protocols here and there; same arrangements, it's just like the classroom we usually take class in our school. This bunker can't be seen as a bunker at all. I can see it as an underground replica of Emerald City.
As someone called "The 5-star Informant", (not that I wanted that title in the first place since it's awkward and stupid for me), I know most of the stuff here. Well, my brain is my main weapon after all.
As my teacher babbles the protocols and my classmates listening patiently, I used the G-watch again to see what's happening to my body right now. Unlike the other G-watches available for purchase, I modified my G-watch to the point that I destroyed my entire collection of G-watches (I think it was over a hundred already?). It's totally worth it, since I was able to modify three out them. I cried every time a watch gets destroyed and unusable though.
Come to think of it, that other me told me something like re-modify my G-watch or something like that. I guess I'll give it a try. I attached my G-watch to my phone via cable and modified it according to what my other me suggested.
Okay, since it's done…
"Status", I said in a low voice.
I guess it's still the same; I'm still at level 1, and still unregistered as a hunter. The Anti-Glitch Association or simply AGA is the organization affiliated with the World Government which keeps glints in check. If I get registered, my unregistered status will change to private-class.
Rank system goes like this; private-class G-units are the ones on the lowest section; then specialist-class, corporal-, sergeant-, warrant officer-, lieutenant-, captain-, major-, colonel-, and lastly the general-class G-unit; the supreme title.
If not registered, and you go fight the glitches with that condition, the authorities will not be held responsible for anything bad that might happen. Moreover, by doing so, the person will be labeled as a criminal for not following the AGA protocols.
I got my license as an informant though. Aside from giving valuable information to the Association, we're also tasked other sort of things like scouting the field. I usually go solo. Even with my delicate figure which is seen as unsuitable for scouting, I use my Tech Boots to compensate my lack of reaction speed and maneuverability. It has the ability to alter gravity and electromagnetic force for me to pull off stunts; when it's active it can make me levitate from the ground and might make me look that I can jump high or move in mid-air. To put it simply, it's just some cheat acrobatic boots.
I still remember that day when I finished creating my Tech Boots and tried it for testing. I got multiple minor injuries and wounds all over my body. Ugh, just thinking about it gives me the chills.
As I continued looking at my status, my jaw dropped as I noticed the changes.

SOUL READ [▫Unique▫ Passive]

"!?"
That's weird. I swear that I only have 10 status points in my Strength, Agility and Constitution stats. And since when did my skill, [Soul Read], become passive? Moreover, it's unique!? Did I break my watch again? No, I think not. It doesn't show any kind of irregularity according to my phone. So this happens after calibrating my G-watch to this extent—
"Miss Lux, is something wrong?" our teacher Mega asked in confusion.
Thanks to my bewilderment, I slammed my hands on my desk and got my eyes widened too much.
The other students are staring at me too.
"T-there's n-nothing at all, sir Mega."
I stuttered as I answered his question.
"Okay, please sit down."
I nodded.
"…"
THAT'S SO EMBARRASSING!!! I covered my face which I think is now as red as tomato.
Oh.
My G-watch is vibrating; someone is contacting me. I better answer this one. I guess I need to ask my teacher's approval to take my exit early. Sigh…
"Sir, may I go out for a minute? I got a call from someone."
"Is that so? The protocol meeting is already finished anyway."
"…"
Seriously now…?
As I'm trying to wipe off my bizarre emotions plaguing my thoughts, I went outside from the classroom full of awkwardness. I picked up the call and to my surprise, someone from the Intelligence Branch of AGA is calling me.
"Yes?"
"Hello Miss Lux. I'm glad that you picked up the call. May I have your assistance about an urgent matter? It's from the team of Glints responsible for handling the glitches. They inquired us and specified to have you join their team."
"If you say it like that, there's something bad is going on right?"
"Yes. We'll pick you up at your school. Please be there in 5 minutes."
"I'll end this call now."
"Thank you for your cooperation."
"Another day for scouting huh…?" I thought while walking towards my living quarters and to start preparing.

PLATINUM CITY
October 30, 2500 9:25 PM
In a certain park where a group of Glints set their camp, Kyle, a private-class G-unit, rushed towards the tent where their commanding officer resides.
"Sir, it's me Kyle. Reporting in…!"
"Enter."
Inside the tent, a virtual map of Platinum City is seen. There are tons of papers scattering about. Examining the map with his slit eyes, with two other superiors on his side, is Lucio, a first lieutenant-class G-unit. He's an overly bulky man which looks like he's regularly buffing up in a gym, and has a mustache. He has green eyes and a scar carving horizontally on his nose.
"Squad One is…!"
"Calm down Kyle. Anyway, what happened to Squad One?"
"I don't know sire, but it appears that their communication is lost."
"I…I see."
"Should we assemble a search team for them?" one of the two officers who were with him asked.
"I wish I could but we can't make our force thinner. It's safe to assume that they died tragically."
"That's…"
"I know. The only thing that I could do is mourn for their loss. Continue monitoring the situation Kyle."
"Yes sir! I shall take my leave."
Kyle bowed his head and went outside and went back to the Intel tent. There, he is approached by one of his colleagues and a stranger. Basing from the figure, the visitor is a female. She has glossy green hair that is still soaked wet since it's raining heavily outside. She's wearing a bandana, making half of her face concealed; she's wearing a black coat with a red shirt underneath, and leather shorts. On her back is a sword, and equipped on her left hand is a buckler.
"Hey Kyle, could you bring this lady to Sir Lucio…? She's the G-unit recommended by the AGA to assist us. The one from the Intelligence Branch is not here, but they said that she's on the way and will arrive in 4 minutes."
"I see. Come this way please madam…uh…"
"It's Ferni."
"Okay, ma'am Ferni, I'll take you to Sir Lucio's tent."
