“Finally, some alone time!”

I stretched my arms as I am overjoyed to have some spare time for myself. I’ll use this to tinker with my gloves once more before going on.

I moved all my gloves out of my inventory and repair the damages, my normal Tech Gloves. However, for some reason, they’ve not registered in my inventory anymore.

“Eh? What is this? Did something happen? Don’t tell me that it’s not synced with me? Uwah…am I still a person? I am, right?”

Oh well.

I just put my tools back into my inventory since I can’t use them now as things are going on this way.

“But still, for this achievement of mine. I’m just a nobody before. Someone without the power, the Mantle, to fight against anything. Come to think of it, I’m over-reliant on my Tech Boots and Tech Gloves when I’m still green to this newfound power and…hmmm…”

I moved away from the castle to take a breather and am in the grassy fields just outside the city right now. It’s a peaceful place, even with that incident that happened two days ago. The queen, Licht, is busy reading and approving some complicated stuff right now. The companions I knew were busy as well, except Sven.

“Just where is he?”

I’m laid myself on the grass and closed my eyes to feel the radiance of the sun and the gentle breeze brushing to my face. This is blissful to me, someone whose life was jabbed a lot of conflicts lately. I even fought for my life for years just to find out that the date is still my birthday.

“Sigh…”

“Just what are you sighing about?”

“Hmm? Oh, hi. Where have you been?”

Sven just sits beside me, while looking at far he spoke.

“Hey, Rylai.”

“Yes?”

“I know it’s a bit sudden, but could I come with you with this journey of yours?”

“Hmm? Why?”

“I just want to travel with you.”

Travel with me? There’s no merit on that, though?

“Well, I don’t really mind, but may I ask why you wanted to?”

“It’s because with you around, I could ask you to train me for longer periods. I could also nurture my skills since for some reason, you’re in all major incidents.”

I can’t deny that one. Haha.

“Well…sure. Let’s journey together.”

I smiled at Sven, who looks surprised after seeing my smile. It’s from the heart.

You better accept it.
