Oh my.

This knight keeps trying to stab me with his lance (I don't know the knight's gender so I'll go with "he").

This situation is like an ant challenging a frog. Yeah, yeah...I feel cringe as I thought about it. Anyway, I should scan this duo. The two of them have 10000 in each of their stats. What the hell? If I get a direct hit, I would kiss my life goodbye. Another disturbing factor is that stupid knight's skill effect.

This is troubling, and to be honest, being hungry affects my performance. I hope I'll be able to beat this nasty duo. I also don't know my exact stats since it only shows my Mantle and my name.

Well, let me see what I can do.

The knight continued it's flurry of strikes. I won't leave room for errors. I dodged each attacks. However, that alone won't beat these Glitches. I guess it's time to hit this horse with my fave attack.

"It's been a while since I used you but let me scream your name once more. Let's go for a good hit, shall we?"

My gloves glowed as I raised my arms; my palms aiming at the charging horse. I smiled while feeling the nostalgia of this move I first created.

"100% Burst Shot!"

Oh, sparkles.

The gloves started to be coated in sparks and shot a devastating blow against the horse.

The horse neighed in pain.

That certainly hurt.

But considering that horse's status, the HP drop might be low.

Yep. It's exactly what I thought. Well 15% worth of damage to its life is certainly a nice one. Perhaps I should shoot another one?

Well that knight won't let me though.

And when did he changed his weapon from a spear to a rifle? Also, why is he using a rifle? Death Knights are supposed to be using melee weapons only, with the exception of crossbow.

You're breaking two norms now, mister knight.

The knight aimed his gun at me and shoots a round. I tried to dodge it. I did manage to move sideways and yet I got a hit...from its blast. The bullet exploded the exact moment it hits the ground.

"What the heck--using explosive bullets is foul play."

It doesn't end there. The knight shoots more rounds and now I need to use some gymnastics I learned during my PE class. I'm thankful for our teacher and her teachings.

"What a drag. I need to finish this or I can't savor a meal!"

My stomach keeps on rumbling that I unconsciously yelled my thoughts.

Ugh...

I'm still at mid-air when the knight shot at me with a shotgun-like ammunition. The only difference is that the "shrapnels" are daggers.

Seriously?

Well, I guess he thought I can't evade it—as if I'd let myself succumb to death.

I'm maneuvering in a way that makes full use of my Tech Boots, as well as my Tech Gloves. I replied promptly at mister knight by kicking (not the bucket but) some daggers and blasting the others.

Still, even with all of that, I still got some wounds here and there, even with my lab coat on; my right cheek, left leg, both arms, you name it. I then realized that this knight's attacks penetrate no matter how high my defense is.

Talk about hard mode.

My feet finally touched the ground but then the knight shot another round of his explosive bullet.

Mm-hmm? Aren't you being abusive right now, mister knight?

When I opened my eyes, I found myself floating inside a receptacle.

W-where am I?

All I remember is that I fought against that bastard and lost. Don't tell me...!?

As soon as I tried to make a move, some kind restraint was applied.

It hurts a lot.

This pain I felt is not just from the physical pain I had just now.

"Tch. Stop spamming your bullets, you--WOAH THERE."

Shots were fired, and I did my best to get away from the blast's radius immediately. Thankfully, the area where we are right now is quite spacious, so the only thing I'm worried about is this grumbling stomach of mine.

"Ugh...DARN IT. I NEED TO EAT, SO WOULD YOU DIE ALREADY!?"

I stepped on my brakes, stopped my movements and is about to use an attack with paralysis effect at the horse. This gloves I'm wearing isn't enough to knock out the horse.

"Thunder Clamp!"

Thunder Clap is a non-lethal offensive move that allows me to paralyze the opponent with a shockwave. The duration of paralysis is adequate enough for me to make preparations and kill this horse.

It seems like I need my other Tech Gloves as well.

"...Beta."

My Tech Gloves glowed faintly, and was changed to my Tech Gloves Beta, which is, of course, in its new form.

Geez, my Mantle tinkers a lot of my stuff without me knowing.

It's now dark violet in color. It's a...uhh...how should I describe it? A full gauntlet gloves...I guess.

Oh well.

It's been a long time, huh? I never would've thought that it'll come in handy. I used the left one during that Glitch Loop Incident and suffered a grievous recoil, which made me fainted.

This time is different however.

I think I did have the right stats to endure any recoil damage.

Not that I know anything about my current stats.

The knight and the horse are both trying to overcome the paralysis. Sorry, but I've had enough of seeing you mounting that horse when I don't.

Yeah, I know it's stupid. Well, anyway...

"Don't act high and mighty just because you have an orange horse. Challenge me one on one! DISAPPEAR, DEATH HORSE!"
