Tracing a Fallen Blood Crystal's Whereabouts

LIBRARY, CRYSTAL CITY

"A few kilometers southeast of Crystal City, one can see an island called Silver Island. This place is where silver mining is escalating its peak and it doesn't seem to have this valuable resource dwindling in the mines; hence, its name. Within that island only resides a population of approximately 600 people; 150 are residents, and the rest of the people are living in a prosperous city, albeit temporarily. Thanks to the abundance of silver in the island the city is bustling all day…until that fateful day, June 17, 2471…"

In the library, I kept on reading a lot of books to see if I can get some clues for my next move. Among all of the books here, I could only see one book that gave me a trail that I must follow. It's the history of Silver Island. According to the book, this island met its demise when one of the strongest Glitches that appeared once before made its reappearance; the Cerberus. The vile beast destroyed the city and killed most of the people. A few of them managed to escape from its grasp and were able to give their statements about seeing a "blood red crystal pulsating as if it was some form of heartbeat; they see Cerberus as if the guardian of the gates of hell is guarding it instead of the oblivion".

After that, the book I read ends with, "…no one knows as of what happened to the island as it was left alone for rumors has it that the Cerberus or any creature that came from the depths of hell, might still be residing that island. Glints who tried to investigate the island were either dead or labeled as missing. The island as of today is still shrouded in mystery."

I did a sigh as I finished reading it, and I conclude that this book is…

"…TOTALLY LACKING!"

"PLEASE KEEP QUIET; YOU'RE IN THE LIBRARY."

The librarian's stern voice made me jolt. To show my sincere apologies, I bowed while saying sorry.

A day after, I did some prep and went to the coast; as of why, I decided to go to this now ghost island and see for myself if there are traces of the rumored "blood red crystal" left in there. That red crystal could be Fallen Blood Crystal, and I need to get my hands on it and see what its attributes truly are. I had my chance during my fight against Cassiopeia, but I wasn't able to check it thoroughly with my eyes.

And as of why I'm going to my destination THIS EARLY, I really don't want anyone see me "floating" on the sea with my Tech Boots.

Okay, everything's here… I shall go then.

With a smile on my face and wearing the usual lab coat attire, I skid on the sea in a decent speed.

"…and that concludes my report."

I, Ferni, just finished my report as we're currently have our meeting; about what happened to the Crystal City, the Glitches and foes that made that incident, and the casualties. I gathered most of my information from Sven, who saw most of it thoroughly. The only response I get from my fellow members here are murmurs of anxiety and sorrow.

Even Clark Dunes, the chairman, is astonished upon hearing my verification. He's a light brown-eyed, yellow haired individual with a long scar on his left eye, crossing from eyebrow, down to his cheeks and has a physique appropriate enough to his age (30 years old). He's wearing his usual black tuxedo and slacks.

He then shook his head and made the board turns their attention to him by raising his voice.

"I know that all of us were anxious about the incident. But as we all know it, we can't dispatch our troops that easily since Glints who have the skill [Teleport] is really rare, and at present we only have three of them. To make things worse, two of them can only activate it once a day at most. It's a one-way ticket."

"Indeed."

"That I concur."

All of the board members agreed in his opinion.

Speaking of this problem…

"Ah, excuse me chairman". I said as I raised my hand.

"Yes?"

"Rylai Lux gave us a solution about this problem."

"Say what?"

Now, all of their eyes are glued to my direction and their gazes…they're piercing me. Gosh.

I cleared my throat and spoke.

"I told you before that I ended up meeting her in Blue Town right? She then noticed that the student who knows how to teleport is in the state of fatigue. I told her about the demerits of using teleportation. After listening, she asked if I'll wait for an hour or two for she's going to tweak one of her techs. Since it's an opportunity, I agreed."

"I see. So can we see that tech she made?"

"Of course, let me get it out of my watch."

"YOUR WHAT NOW!? HOW COULD THAT BE?"

Ah. I forgot to tell them.

"Er…b-before that, I would like to present to y'all…TA-DA! Tech Brace! Well that's what she named it."

"Please elaborate its features Ferni."

"Of course; as Rylai Lux described it, this bracelet gives the energy needed for the [Teleport] users to use the skill without making them fatigue. However, this brace could also be abused so she made it in a way that only the [Teleport] skill will be the only one that'll be supplied with energy coming from the bracelet. She also told me that the fatigue that the users always experience after using [Teleport] is mana system exhaustion. This is a scenario in which the mana is absolutely siphoned out from the body."

"Oh, that's good to hear! She found a solution to our problem without even telling her!"

"I could see why she's crowned as the 5-star informant."

"Yep, I agreed to that chairman!" I said with a big smile on my face.

"Well then, that concludes the meeting."

The meeting was finally adjourned…

…as if.

"But before that; Ferni aren't you forgetting something?"

"What is?"

"Tell us about that watch of yours as of why it has a feature not available to any G-watches."

The board agreed in unison.
