"I told you not to rely on your Tech Gloves. Imbue them with your Mantle's power."
"Yes, yes... I know already."
I dashed to the source, with my Tech Boots of course.
The squawking continues, and I eventually came to the exact same scene.
It's the same place where I saw Sven the first time. He's courageous enough to risk his life to protect his colleagues.
The Griffin—no, Griffins are now on sight. One of them is an elite form of it, and I found it a little spooky.
Griffin [Elite] Level 53
HP: 2200000/2200000 MP: 8000/8000
Glitch
Strength: 15400
Dexterity: 13000
Constitution: 14200
Intelligence: 11800
Skill:
SKY DIVE: AGILITY [ACTIVE]
- The user will dive down with the acceleration based on STR and DEX. The more speed it has, the more power it could give. It has recoil damage if it hits.
WHIRLWIND [ACTIVE]
- The user will cast a raging gust that can blow away anyone and anything. It depends on the STR stats of how violent the wind could be.
SLASH [ACTIVE]
- Attacks with a heavy s***h using claws or talons.
BEAK STRIKE [ACTIVE]
- Attacks with a beak.
FEATHER ARMOR [CUSTOM]
- Reduces received attacks by a hundred percent if it's not imbued by a Mantle's power; reduces received attack by seventy-five percent if it's imbued with a Mantle's power
Griffin Level 40
HP: 22000/22000 MP: 5300/5300
Glitch
Strength: 5400
Dexterity: 3000
Constitution: 4200
Intelligence: 1800

Those numbers are terrifying.
While I'm thinking of a plan on how to deal with these three, the other me approaches and gave me a word of advice.
"As you can see in their stats if ever you don't imbue the power of your Mantle, your attack won't hurt the target. The same goes for the upcoming enemies as well."
"Oh...okay. I'll do my best then."

"First off, if ever you didn't imbue the power of your Mantle, it won't hurt the target. The same goes for the upcoming enemies as well."
"Oh...okay. I'll do my best then."
The original prepared herself to face the Griffins, while I, on the other hand, veiled some information to her. If I ever tell her, she might reconsider undergoing this training of hers that I've given her.
I am her Mantle, the first-ever conscious one that has sprouted from being a normal Mantle with no consciousness. What the original looks like is what I copied, thus I am indeed a copy of herself. There's that incident that we were intertwined into one, she being of course the simple, lovely lady who loves to tinker things and me becoming the other half of her overall personality, the alter ego, the one who loves to battle and eradicate the enemies. It might be similar to the "two heads are better than one" thing but in reality, it's just her having a new consciousness that sprouted from her Mantle and her normal self. It's pretty confusing, but that's the most simple way I could think to explain things if ever someone would try and ask. I don't care much anyway.
Unlike the other conscious Mantles out there, I don't interfere much with the original's actions and decisions except when I could detect that the original's physical, mental, emotional, and social state. I don't want to have her get disrupted by her actions after all. That's why I often merged with her consciousness for her to depict what she's doing as normal.
I watched her doing some fancy acrobatic stunts even in mid-air, thanks to her Tech Boots for mobility and Tech Gloves for changing her trajectory.
Little did she knew that these enemies aren't imaginary.
My property as a Mantle is quite peculiar. I could copy every Glitch she could come across, but she can't summon any of it. Nothing happened except me being a database of sorts.
However, it's a different thing if she came here in my space.
Uh, she's like the landlady and I'm her sole tenant. I think that's a good analogy, I guess.
I could replicate the data I got and provide her Glitches as much as she needs for her to master my properties, her Mantle. Knowing her, that's plentiful. She's someone who doesn't want to be spoonfed.
If she could become someone who could master me, forget the deficit of not being able to use Full Moho Break (we're already merged so that state is out of the frame), she could dominate everyone on her own. But still, she's not someone who would deal fatal damage to her opponent.
Of course, she could die here.
And when that happens, she'll also die in real life, tagging with her is I, her Mantle.
I have my trust in her, but I also have my doubts.
I wonder if she'll surpass her current self after this? I'll be able to find out about this in the aftermath of this training.

"They just keep on coming! Hah!"
"Squawk!"
I kicked one of the Griffins with my Tech Boots' help but it could only push it real hard and that's it.
I have to face this one specific problem, and that is how to imbue my Mantle's power on my own. I recently learned that the other me helped me in accomplishing several feats for me to stay the same by merging with my consciousness.
Oh well.
Let's just do what I can.
