My body became so numb when I came to. After thrown away at least ten meters away from that golem, I found myself lying beside an uprooted tree. I had few shallow wounds so it's just stings like a bee. Nah, I'm just kidding – my head is bleeding like crazy.

The Colossal Earth Golem is on the move. For something huge, it can move pretty fast. It's going to that city full of those brainwashed people; I need to do something about it, but…

"For now… I need to tend these wounds, especially this wound on my head. Urgh…"

This isn't good, I'm about to lose consciousness due to blood loss.

I immediately used that high-quality medicine I bought in a*****e located in Crystal City. After being drenched with that medicine, it slowly reduces the pain and eventually patched my wounds. My fatigue due to blood loss won't be removed, and the blood I lost won't be restored; even so…

"This should do it for now. I need to beat it to a pulp, that golem."

I need to intercept this golem somehow. Now where are the others?

"Pyre! Jerry! Lyca! Where are you?"

Could it be that they're unconscious? I need to pick the pace!

Using my [Soul Read], I searched for their whereabouts.

I finally found them! Good thing they're alright. It seems that Lyca used a golem to prevent the three of them being blown away. So it appears that I'm the one who got the most injury then? Oh well. They still sustained some wounds here and there; I need to give them some meds to aid their recovery.

"Lyca..!"

"Rylai! Thank goodness you're alright!"

"Uh-huh, let's keep it at that. By the way use these", I said as I gave three vials of that medicine to her.

"Wait, isn't this one pretty expensive?"

"Just use it. How much those costs is trivial compared to the collateral damage that walking mud could do. Let's work together and take it down before it turns messy."

They nodded their heads and used it. I do hope that the four of us are enough to stop it.

"Anyway, for starters, we need to assault it, pronto", Lyca said as she prepared a...wind golem?

The wind golem's appearance…it has a miniature tornado that serves as its lower half, while the upper is like a skinny earth golem.

Lyca noticed my reaction towards it and chuckled.

"Is this your first time seeing one?"

"Yes. The only golems I know are earth and lava types. Seeing this is refreshing, but why did you summon it?"

"For mobility", she said as she mandated the other two to come with her. "Would you like to?"

I shook my head and said, "I'm going to rely on my boots for now. Also, I detected several mutated creatures accompanying that golem and were marching a few meters from it. It would be better if I intercept those while you guys destroy that golem. You three are more suitable in doing it since you are coordinated and synchronized in fighting."

"Is that so?" she said while putting her right palm on her cheek.

They then positioned themselves in front of the golem and they were propelled by a strong wind; as for me…

"Good thing that they accepted my plan. It's better to work solo", I mumbled as I sprinted towards where the monsters are currently located. When I got there, a horde of mutated plants themselves assaulted me mercilessly with their whips, thorns, and even their leaves and petals were thrown about like darts towards me. I barely managed to evade all of it.

What these plants needed is a little trim.

"Let's do this… [Death Scythe]…"

A floating scythe appeared in front of me like some sort of telekinesis. It's not my first time using it by the way. I used it once when I confront Cassiopeia. I manifested it to at least block those terrifying lightning and to coat it to make it invisible is also straining. Thanks to that, I managed to defeat her. In this current situation however, there's no need for me to make it disappear in front of their eyes, since there's nobody around.

"This'll take a while. They're too many— What the...?!"

On my left, there's someone wearing a simple white trousers and white shirt. He has this crimson red hair long enough to reach his elbows. He has a great physique and has this dignified air around him, though it's overwhelmed by a stench of his bloodlust towards me.

What is he doing here?

"Sorry missy but if possible would you die for me?" he said as he prepares his stance.

Woah there; a mere punch caused this shockwave!?

I managed to evade it, but it tore a portion of my lab coat, which withstand all attacks I received from all my battles until now. For him to do such a feat, he's way too dangerous. As I jumped away from it, razor-sharp petals were wounding me. This…this situation isn't good. I can't evade all of them now that this guy destroyed my momentum.

"Kuh! What did I do to you for you to harass me?"

"Oh? Of you don't know of my identity yet. But if I show you this", he said as he literally tore his shirt. On his body is a gleaming crystal.

I appraised him and as I see his stats, it gives me a hint that this guy—

Ferni feels extremely distressed about what happened back in Crystal City. She just sighed and kept thinking about her and the AGA's incompetence when it comes to responding to the incident as soon as possible.

"If only I caught the wind of it a bit faster, I would've come there a little bit earlier no matter what", she mumbled.

As she keeps mumbling and fumbling about to those drowning thoughts, a warning was issued in her G-watch.

"There are a bunch of Glitch warnings in the recent days", she thought.

As one of the member of the board, the G-watch they're wearing is made to tell them about Glitch warning on the continent. Even with the help of Rylai to give the [Teleport] users a good way to have fewer burdens whenever they use it, the users themselves were quite a few, and they can't even respond to all of those emergency situations. This is the main reason why guilds exist. Taking that into account, she was utterly disappointed about that matter with that infamous guild in Crystal City.

"I guess I need to run some background checks once more."

I got startled when I received a call from one of my trusted subordinates that stayed in Crystal City. I picked it up hastily and nagged the caller.

"Gosh, don't give me a heart attack!"

"Eh?"

"Nevermind that nonsense. So why did you call?"

"Madame, there are witness accounts of a giant golem spotted on Silver Island. It is said to be a Colossal Earth Golem!"

"Huh? Why didn't I get some Glitch warning about that creature?"

Ferni is dumbfounded upon hearing it. "How come there's a Glitch not detected?" she asked to herself. However, a horrid idea crossed her mind and sent shivers down to her spine.

"…Artificial Glitch…?" Ferni said while biting her right thumbnail.

"Artificial…?"

"Ah, don't mind me. I'll contact you soon enough after I get teleported there."

"Yes ma'am!"

The call cuts off, leaving a wondering Ferni.

"Come to think of it, Nathalie told me that they dispatched some Glints from a particular guild… Is this somehow related to that golem's appearance? If so, then I have no time to idling here any longer. I need to contact a [Teleport] user…oh?"

Ferni ran outside in full speed after seeing a [Teleport] user walking towards the main entrance.

"Hey you there, I need your cooperation –?!"

Before she could approach the fellow, a ray of light almost hit the people if it weren't for Ferni protecting them.

"Assaulting someone in broad daylight…who are you?"

Someone appeared before her and judging from the physique, Ferni could tell that it's a female. Aside from that, with her cloak and full-face mask, she can't identify the person in question.

"…"

"So you won't talk huh…figures. However, don't expect that you'll escape here easily", Ferni said while doing her stance.
