"Be careful!" "Right flank, engaging!" "Move at the side! Make them separate from each other and kill them one by one!" "How are the long-range users faring?" "They are assisting Miss Ferni on the front lines! The Glitch loop is still not stopping just yet!" It's chaos in this city. I cut short my training when I heard the news about this hazard. There's a couple of Glitches that appeared while I'm traveling but it's not that bad compared to the situation. I received a call from one of the AGA agents, asking my whereabouts and if it's possible to send me temporarily to the Island of Maiden. I immediately agreed of course. I could help the people there and train there at the same time. There's no good teacher in teaching combat other than life-or-death situations, at least according to my grandmother. I didn't use my Tech Sword. I used a different sword I borrowed from one of the ruined houses here. According to the agent who brought me here via [Teleport], it's already 14 minutes since this fight began. The main enemy isn't even here yet, and there are lots of Infernal Dogs wrecking everything in their paths. I proceeded to the front lines. Damn, just what's with that amount? Wait. During that time when there's that Madmen Glitch loop, I think Rylai said that there'll be a boss among these. I should search for it then. It's different in color than the rest, she said. "[Knight's Assault]." I unleashed my skill, eradicating incoming wolves. Just a stroke for them would be more than enough. The wave traveled through and even reached near the walls of the city. This place looks beautiful, even though this place is now destroyed worse than what had happened in Platinum City. I have mo time dawdling about. I need to keep them all at bay. Now, if we're talking about the front lines, I need to locate Miss Ferni's location. "Raaaaaaaaagh!" A raging female's voice resounded on the air, accompanied by a loud thud and a thick cloud of dust. That's where she should be. Some Infernal Wolves passed through the barricade they made, killing some Glints in the process. I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you guys out. But at least, let me avenge you all. "Here's another one. [Knight's Assault]." Another projectile appeared, shearing everything in its path. "Huh? [Knight's Assault]? Sven! You're here!" "Sorry for being late, Miss Ferni!" "No problem! With you, we'll experience lesser casualties! I'll defend this point!" Miss Ferni yelled as she kicked a wolf and stabbed the other approaching one. She then used a kind of skill and bashed the wolves away. "I need you to—wait, where's your Tech Sword?" "I'm keeping it for now. I'm on my way to intercept!" "I'm counting on you!" "Yes, ma'am!" I jumped high and plunged my sword on a pack of wolves and killed three of them immediately. I then swung my sword around to slice the rest. I got a moment to breathe. "Now, come!" "Awoooooo!!!" Left. Right. Both sides. Behind. I could no longer count how many wolves I killed with every swing I did. The blood splattered on my clothes, and even my sweat was mixed with their blood. If I used [Knight's Assault] with my Tech Sword, it would be a bit easier, but no... I must not keep on relying on Rylai's sword. "Hah! Toh! Tch, they just keep on coming." "Sven!" "Miss Ferni!? What's wrong? I thought you're holding off the barricade?" "Nah, it's fine. More importantly, it's coming!" She glared at the sky, pointing it with her sword. I looked up and was surprised to see a roaring flame shaped like the front leg of a quadrupedal animal, specifically a dog. "I would love to have Rylai be in here, but rats!" "Huh? Rylai? What's wrong with her?" "Ah, you don't know right. Don't worry, she'll be safe. For now, let's focus on that enemy. Rylai's well-being is the least of our worries compared to that!" "Just what is that— Don't tell me it's...!?" "Yes. It's the Cerberus!" The heads appeared, shrieking their voice throughout the whole city. It's too painful to hear, and as I looked around, some Glints even kneeled to the ground, covering their ears and shouting on the top of their lungs in hopes to mitigate the pain. "GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I don't know what had happened to Rylai, but I need to help Miss Ferni in this battle for now! Rylai, please be safe. ••• "Dang! Stop shooting beams, you clam!" I kept on evading every piercing beam of this never-seen-before Glitch. I kept on flipping and tumbling, even rolling on the ground just to evade. Whenever I got in a pinch (well, I already am though, so who cares) I used my Tech Boots to forcefully twist my body out of harm in mid-air. He's not even outside that Glitch uh, window? He looked like some clam to me. And every beam screams fatality, I won't allow myself to get hit, of course. "Burst Shot!" I shoot with my usual. But for some reason, my attacks dissipate before they could come in contact with that Glitch. KNIGHT OF THE FALLEN BLOOD Lv. 647 (First Form) HP: 700 000 MP: infinite Strength: 100 Dexterity: 100 Constitution: 999 Intelligence: 9 999 999 SKILLS: [Conceal / ACTIVE] - Actively conceals the user's stats and skills. When did I able to read it all?" That's strange. I never read it this way before. And what the heck is with that Intelligence stat? "Do you seek help, young lass?" "Huh? Wait, a voice inside my head... Who is this?" Suddenly, a voice reverberated inside my head. It's a mature male voice. "If you know Licht's identity as a Fallen, I think you knew what I am." Ah, great. A Fallen. "Which side are you on?" "Of course I'm on her side. In a roundabout manner, I'm on your side. For now, let me help you just this once. I can't help any further." "What kind of help?" "I'll forcefully make it to its third form. It'll be a difficult battle, but I think you'll—" "No." "Pardon?" "I'll kill this one in my way. Please don't interfere for now." What am I thinking? I don't know. For some reason, I wanted to destroy it to smithereens. "I am Death, and I'll crush anyone and anything that dared to cross my path."
