FALSE WORLD: FALLEN BLOOD CRYSTAL
???
???
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
This is the worst shriek I've ever heard!
When will its mouth shut?
The knight kneels at the Glitch he summoned. That monster's claws give me the creeps. As the hole goes larger, an ominous gaze, red was shown.
It's not that I'm an avid game geek or something but...I am thought by every game I owned that in these kinds of situations, the villain always has ominous glowing eyes.
Hmm?
Wait, what the--
The knight who's kneeling was grabbed by the lurker and was brought inside the dimensional space. It might be dark inside, but with my eyes, I know that that monster is my worst encounter.
The knight I fought so hard against was easily torn to pieces.
The knight responsible for releasing such abomination was later gnawed. The chewing sounds of metal scraps were heard and that alone made me shiver. Even with my eyes, I couldn't see much information about the enemy's stats. One thing that I could assure of is that this being is ridiculously strong.
KNIGHT OF THE FALLEN BLOOD Lv. (Unknown)
HP: 700 000 MP: (Unknown)
Strength: (Unknown)
Dexterity: (Unknown)
Constitution: (Unknown)
Intelligence: (Unknown)
SKILLS:
[??? / ACTIVE] - Data Unavailable
[??? / PASSIVE] - Data Unavailable
[Life Siphon / PASSIVE] - A skill that allowed the user to drain the foe's HP
[??? / ACTIVE] - A skill that destroys the target if it misses
[Locust Swarm / ACTIVE] - Summons locusts to attack
[Doom Rage / ACTIVE] - A skill that toughens up the user but has its HP slowly drained
[Self-Destruct / ACTIVE] - Sacrifice and explode, obliterating everything within a considerable radius
[Shared Fatality / PASSIVE] - The last fatal hit has a 70% chance to be returned and damage the user by 30% of the damage
This is insane.
This guy is ridiculously strong. I can't possibly beat this crap with my Tech Gloves alone.
And those skills are absurd, not to mention I couldn't identify the first two skills. My only ticket to win this is to do my best evading while it's using the [Doom Rage] skill. But that could be a LONG process.
There's also that unknown skill with a description I find confusing. Does that mean I could only block attacks and not evade them?
The last two skills heighten the difficulty spike.
Overall, this creature's stats and skills practically shrieking that anyone who'll encounter this outside the crystal would die in no time.
This might be the end, but I don't intend to die in here.
How disarrayed that thought of mine was. But my quest to save Licht isn't over 'til I die, so if I do...so be it.
"I'll treat this as a form of training. Come at me!"
Just then, I felt a tingling sensation throughout my body. It's like my body became lighter as if the fatigue I experienced earlier was a lie. I've also noticed that some of my hair strands were dyed dark violet, and from it were silver flakes falling to the ground.
"This isn't dandruff, is it?"
I think this is a skill I have (something that I didn't know existed). I swear to myself that after all this mess, I'm going to check myself.
The Glitch released yet another shriek. However, for some reason, I didn't get affected just like before.
So what I'm experiencing right now is alleviating the damage I could've got. Thank you, my Mantle. Even though I don't know much about you -- since it always changes, stats and everything -- you gave me chance to fight back.
An unfamiliar skill sprouted in my mind. Considering the odds I'm against, this skill is my best shot. I can't use it yet though. It needs my nostalgic Rage Points. It came back.
I still need to do some movements like poking this abomination with my Tech Gloves and parry attacks. This battle will be tedious. It's time to act.
I initiated the fight by using the hundred percent of my Burst Shot aimed at the hole. The Glitch seems to be some sort of a hermit crab with its shell; only showing its limbs for now and didn't get outside yet.
How would it attack, I wonder?

"Ma'am, the G-watch is alarming us on the incoming Glitch manifestation. It is as what Nexus Vanguard said before."
"Yes, I know. But what kind of Glitch is it?"
There should be a brief notification about what Glitch is like what the origin was. Most Glitches and their forms were plucked from various mythologies that existed in the Hollow Earth. We're still in the midst of investigation...searching for clues from various books of the old. I could tell that there's a link, but we still don't know the reason. Or rather, we couldn't pry further.
There's a lot of history books on the surface as to why Earth is now in this state, but it only states the basic facts that even a child could remember. The first book that piqued our interest is a single book coming from the Hollow Earth. Within its old pages are contexts of precious historical value.
"...the world covered itself from approaching danger, leaving the detestable humans to their own devices. The before prosperous lands became harsh, and the animals mutated-- granting frightening abilities in their already dangerous wild capabilities. Even the gentle elephants became demons and could easily kill an individual with a simple sound of its trunk. The people were given two options; either they die in this overwhelming ecosystem, or fight against the anomalies endlessly forming on the new surface. The people agreed, and the former surface was later called the Hollow Earth."
This is written by someone with the penname of Panther. His real identity was not yet known, but we believe that this guy tracked the events that happened during his lifespan. As for why we believe something written by an individual with no identification, his penname was written on the wall, together with several other names of the Glitch Detecting Satellite (GDS) Maintenance Team, 2020.
I wonder what's happening.
Maybe there's something wrong with the satellite? No, it's not possible. We made sure that it'll be fully operational despite the lack of knowledge we have -- thankfully, the original maintenance team left records of how to do so, but there are parts of it that we don't understand, and a research team was assigned to decipher it.
"Here it comes!"
The Glitch finally started to manifest. Its intense aura could be felt, and I could say that this incoming Glitch spells trouble.
This sensation.
I definitely felt this one before.
This couldn't be...
If this Glitch is the one I've been thinking of, I need to get all of the people out of here!
"Everyone! Get out of here! Right now!"
"But ma'am, I thought we're going to intercept the Glitch?"
"Priorities first; don't throw away your lives! Get the citizens away as far as you can!"
If weren't for this command of mine, a lot of Glints would've been lost their lives.
The approaching Glitch is no other than the first Glitch that manifested in this world. It's the nth time around.
Isn't that right, you damn Cerberus?
