"Heh...so that's how it is?"

I've tried to inspect the tall building that was "destroyed" by a skill unleashed by the little Hydro Morph girl. It's the dead of the night and the patrols are unsurprisingly frequent for a building owned by a rich dude.

I shifted my body to a gust of wind to avoid suspicion. And what I saw there is a total bullcrap. How will sis respond if she knows about this?

This is something that I wouldn't acknowledge either. I know this mess that we're in sure escalated quickly, but what sis Rylai is planning is right. Now then, I better hurry back. I would never acknowledge this place's existence.

"Nexus? Is something wrong?"

"Oh, don't worry about me. I'm just thinking about something."

I sat with my beloved on my bed. The moon illuminated my room. The champagne we opened is still half full, and the romantic atmosphere we had earlier seemingly vanished.

"Is it about Rylai’s promise?"

"Yes."

Before she left, Rylai told us that she'll get rid of the status of the Fallen imbued in the red crystal, just like what she did to me.

"When we were rescuing you, I noticed that something was different on that girl. It's like she's someone who filters the world. That's what I felt. However, she's pretty reckless as well, and won't hesitate to make decisions that could ruin her life."

"I do think of that, but aren't you worrying too much? She's way stronger than the rest of us, you know?"

"I can't just get rid of this thought. I'm sorry, my dear."

"No, that's okay. I do agree that that girl is unique, but that doesn't mean that we need to stay alert in her presence. She helped me without asking for something in exchange, after all."

"Huh? What is this place? Wait, is this the alternate dimension Alter made before? But why is this place look like a barren land?"

"There you are, child. You possess something of value. And I think that you could help me and the rain deity. We need your help."

"Eek! Eh? Quetzalcoatl? But I thought I'm in the alternate dimension?"

"I have no recollection of what you are speaking of, child. We are inside your dream."

I looked behind me and saw the same majestic bird I once saw before coming to the Port of Kirmish. Quetzalcoatl communicated with me via [Telepathy]. It's a tad unnerving, the voice is echoing with a peculiar pitch I couldn't stand.

"Uh... You see... I'm preparing for something too. I'm not sure if I can complete your quest—"

"You don't need to worry about that child. Our goals coincide. I would like you to continue helping those pitiful Morph children. In exchange, I would like you to have this."

An orb of light slowly dropped from its beak. I cupped it with my hands, and within it, I could see a necklace.

"That necklace will help you in your quest."
