I finally woke up and did the necessary stuff to be done before going to the table and have some breakfast. It may seem that I'm some sort of a freeloader. Oh well…

"Good morning dear, have you slept well? Here, your breakfast."

Granny gave me a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows floating atop of it and some loaves of bread as she sat in front of me.

"Yes Granny, thank you for the hospitality."

"Oh, this much is nothing."

I came to this house yesterday night to listen to the legend Granny spoke of, but apparently she wants to sleep early so we put it to a hold. She then said that she'll talk about it tonight, together with a friend of hers. Back to the present, I'm looking around, and I can say that this place is well-kept by Granny. It's a simple home but the utensils and other stuff were neat enough to sparkle as if it's still new. I can't see a speck of dust here. As expected of Granny.

As I enjoy my meal, I've heard a faint grunt of someone practicing his sword.

"By the way Granny, is that Sven shouting 'hah!' right now?"

"Oh that boy? Yes he is. He should be at the seashore right now."

The house is a few meters from the sea. Enjoying the salty breeze while mesmerizing the view of the horizon inside your home; this is tranquility.

"By the way Rylai, are you the one who gave him that G-watch and that nice sword Sven called 'Tech Sword'?"

"Yes, indeed I am. I gave him one since his watch broke during a certain Glitch; I let him have that sword since our opponent is a Skeleton General and no ordinary weapon could inflict damage on that."

"I see. Then what can you say to his battle prowess?"

"Let's see…Sven may have the decent stats compared to the other individuals I've seen so far but he still needs further development. He only relies on brute force and doesn't seem to be strategizing-type. Well, his Mantle…in other words, the origin of his powers, is Rogue Knight. So it's a given for him to attack recklessly."

"I see. So you monitored him thoroughly. It is as you say dear; Sven does that. By the way have you heard the rumors circulating around the city?"

"Ah, the rumors about a gentleman sucking the blood of the young ladies around here, am I right?"

"Yes."

"Well…"

My G-watch alarmed me of an incoming glitch.

"My, it seems that a Glitch is appearing here."

"Yes. According to the watch, the Glitch will appear after one minute. It's pretty fast. I prefer to stay here; they have a guild in their arsenal so there's no need for me or Sven to interfere", I said after I finished my meal.

"Rylai, this is bad news! A glitch is incoming –"

"I already know about it Sven. There's one."

"No, you seem to understand! Look at the warning notice you've got."

Hmm, why so flustered Sven? But I already got my jaw dropped as I saw what glitch will be manifesting a few moments from now.

[SKELETON GENERAL – CHROME] Glitch

A Chrome type of monster!? This is truly a bad news!

"Rylai, if your eyes has the same properties as my companion, can you locate where the Glitch manifest?"

"It's on the heart of the city. Now please excuse us; it's time for Sven and me to go."

"Well then, you guys should go. I shall remain here for now."

Granny went inside her home. Sven just gazed at her grandmother's back and sighed as a form of relief. Looking at his expression right now, he doesn't want to have her grandma dive into the fray. But in my eyes, if Granny did so, our chances of winning against this incoming being will be escalated by at least seventy percent. I can't rely to those guys from the Venom Claw; considering the fact that they're absolute pain in the butt, they are so weak that if they were to participate in this glitch subjugation they would be easily killed on the spot.

"I'll go ahead Sven", I said so as I activated by Tech Boots and throttled towards the center of the city.

A Chrome-type is a one-step upgrade from the boss types. Its stats are a bit higher than the normal ones and seem to possess intelligence in par, more or less, to a human. The other frightening fact about it is that Chrome types have the ability to destroy a city or two in an easy feat. It is said that there was once a Chrome-type monster that appeared and slaughtered anyone in its line of sight. It was truly a m******e. Well its destructive power is just a speck of sand to the superior beings, like that Cerberus.

To make things worse, the Glitch will manifest right in the center of Crystal City.

Even from afar, I can see the manifestation process of the glitch. I can also see that the Glints were on the move and gathered in front of the enemy.

"GOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW…!"

The reanimated being's roar echoes the area; its malicious scream is more than enough to intimidate the Glints.

The Skeleton General has the same physique as the inferior version of its kind. However, the bones were dyed blood red, and from its eye sockets flow some black liquid. On his hand is a greatsword and it's wearing a set of black armor. This'll be a long day. When I looked at its status, something piqued my interest.
