A little purple orb shoots from my finger. It served as a catalyst for my next attack. I know that there's a lot that I still don't know about my skills, but it's better to know my capabilities first-hand.

My [Pellet] skill expands, enveloping the whole city.

“Include only the evil Glitches, please.”

I can’t see anything here, really. What I’m seeing is absolute darkness, thanks to both my skill and the dawn of the day. And now, I can feel the contraction of my spell. I’m included, of course.

“Here goes the money shot, woohoo.”

The before expanded sphere instantly shrinks back to my [Pellet] skill, dragging me along with it. With that, I checked my stats for a moment and what it showed me is the same as when I used it in the alternate plane made by Alter.

Isn’t my stats now more detailed than before? Just how come the first time I saw it is not that refined as this one? Oh well, it’s not that I hate it or something. I love the way it is now, actually.

Ugh…I still can’t get used to the fact that I lose a Death Point for this. I don’t know the rules yet, so I’m uncertain as to how I should replenish it.

Oh well, let’s cast that problem in the queue for now.

From the orb, I spawned. It’s not that high of an altitude anymore that I’m in. This is better than that acrophobic moment. I used my Tech Boots to glide in the air and landed on the ground.

Finally, I’m back.

It’s a bummer though that that nasty-looking creature wasn’t eradicated along, but it’s better than dealing with that infinite spawn of Skeleton Generals. I think it’s not bad to see that its HP has been cut to that extent.

Its shrieking scream of pain (I guess) reverberated on the air, but I truly don’t care. At the very least, I could see you cry in pain for your very existence disrupts the world.

I tried to feel the energy of the ones I deliberately hit with my skill.

Let’s see, the ones sucked in my [Abysmal Void] are…

Huh? Isn’t this the Griffin I fought in the alternate plane? Why is it here? It’s suspicious. Did I unconsciously release it to the world instead of being destroyed? Ah yes, I think there’s a stinging sensation on my chest when I woke up, I looked down and saw a hole in the alternate plane before it disappeared. After that, I saw Licht and brought her back with me. Ah yes, where is she? I hope she’s alright.

So they’re the ones that are now the fodders this time around huh? I’ve met this one during the incident in Crystal City. These things must be terrifying to any newbies and professionals alike. I mean, even one of them was able to wreak havoc in Crystal City and wipe out the lives of the people in there. I don’t care about the lives of those Black Faction of the guild stationed in there.

The Glitch loop is gone, and we’re astonished to see Rylai come from above. Also, that skill of hers…just what is that skill? I’ve never seen it before.

Rylai, I’m happy to see that you are well, but I’m saddened to see that you’ve reached new heights. I’m doing my best to catch unto you and yet…

Argh, this isn’t the time to feel inferior. I need to approach her and see if she’s well.

I’m not referring to Rylai.

I’m referring to Wenn. Her sinister aura I’ve felt left her body as soon as the city was engulfed by the skill Rylai cast. Does this mean she’s safe now? Did that invader or whatever that’s controlling her is gone?

Then if that’s the case, I must thank Rylai.

“For now, I’ll bring you to safety first”, I said to myself as I lifted up Wenn who’s now showing signs of life. Her complexity is similar to a healthy human, and I could no longer trace the sinister character she had as she was unconscious with a gentle look on her face, a peaceful one.

Thank goodness. I thank you so much Rylai.

As soon as I sent her away from the battlefield I went back to see Rylai and Ferni hugging each other.

“Yo, Sven!”

“Rylai! You’re here!”

“Heh…Sven…Fufu…”

“P-please don’t tease me! Especially if Rylai’s around!”

“Eh, is there something that I don’t know about?”

“Ah! Nothing! NOTHING AT ALL!”

Damn it… I’m being flustered all of a sudden.

Wipe that smirk of yours from your face, you vile demon! You’re making me too conscious of Rylai now!

“Are you okay, Sven?”

“Urk! A-ah, yeah…just please don’t make your face closer to me…”

“Why didn’t it get absorbed by that skill of yours, Rylai?”

“Ah, that? I don’t know. Maybe because it’s overall stats and HP could handle it. Anyway, it appears that its HP has been halved thanks to my skill. Let’s finish this and celebrate our victory.”
