chapter 7 after school cole pov

I am looking at the clock and waiting for it to hit 2:30 so I can start getting ready to go get lily the way she talked to me the day she moved in I was in awe she talked like she wasn't afraid of anything despite what happened to her and the way she is with her daughter Katie I think I am falling in love with her and all I want is to show her that I'll never hurt her like that guy did. when I arrive at the school she is waiting for me but she is not alone there is a guy with her and she looks uncomfortable and I got out of my car and walked up to her and put my arm around her and pulled her close and said cole: hey babe how was school and she turned to me and said Katie: it was good boring but good and the guy just walked away and me and we got in my car and I turned her and said cole: sorry about that you looked really uncomfortable and I wanted to help you and she looked at me and said Katie: it's ok I am glad that you stepped in he was making me so uncomfortable and thank you so much for picking me up and with that we went on are way to pick up her daughter and I plan to take them out for a day out together for some fun and to show them around so that can get to know the area.

( Narrator's pov)

lilly and cole are on there way to pick up Katie to go out for a day of fun lilly is so nervous about having Katie while being alone with cole but she wants to see the city so when she is ready to go out and about with Katie she doesn't get lost {Lilly's pov } we arrive at Katie's school to pick her up we wait for kaite i look at cole and he was staring at his phone so i look away as i do he looks at me and we make eye contact and i freeze and he says cole: are you ok you have been staring at me for a while. and with that i say lilly: i am fine i was just wondering what you have plan for today. he froze and then said cole: i was planning on taking you guys to my favorite pizza place and we can talk more about places you guys want to visit. and with that he went back to his phone and i saw Katie running out of her school and she stopped at the pick up line and was looking for the car that we are in so i get out and wave her over and she come running to me and i pick her up and spin her around and she starts to laugh uncontrollably and i saw cole getting out of the car and he looked at us with a smill on his face.
