Only a huge ice cream sundae managed to make Stephanie finally feel full, and holding Michael's arm, they left to wait for the vehicle that would take them home. Toño, the restaurant owner, bid farewell to the couple, who looked very happy, wishing them to extend an invitation to their wedding soon.
"It may come sooner than you think," said Michael, "even though this is only our first date."
Toño didn't know how to interpret Michael's words, as he couldn't discern if it was a joke or if he was serious, but he still accompanied them to the exit and only returned to the restaurant once he saw them in the car.
"I recommend my car," said Michael when saying goodbye to his friend. "I'll send for it tomorrow, or I might come myself, I don't know. I'll let you know."
