Before going up to the apartment, Stephanie called Anny to find out where she was and not risk Xavier seeing her.
"You sound really bad, are you still feeling very sick?" said Anny when she answered. "I'm almost there. It's better if you wait for me in bed, don't expose yourself to the cold, okay? I'll make you a soup so you can sleep."
Stephanie understood what her friend meant and, after thanking her, hung up.
She went up to the apartment, took off her dress, and put on pajamas. As she was lying down, she heard Anny entering the apartment and saying goodbye to Xavier, who had come up to accompany her.
"See you tomorrow, honey," Anny said before closing the door.
Stephanie heard her friend walking towards the room.
"Honey?" Stephanie asked when she saw Anny peeking through the door.
