The knock comes around eight.
I wasn't expecting it. I was just sitting there with a cold cup of tea that I actually forgot to drink and a document I stopped reading a lot of minutes ago.
"Come in."
I watch him open the door and stand close to the door for a second,he didn't come in straight away,he just stand there.
I thought maybe something had happened in his study room.
He finally comes in and closes the door.
"I wasn't honest with you about Serena," he says. "I should have been."
That's it,no buildup,no explanation around it.
I looked at him for a while then look away.
"Okay," I says.
He finally take a sit on the chair that is close to my desk. He puts his hands on his knees and looks at the desk between us and I can see him deciding how far to go with this.
