Pet Zara's Pov I don't believe in mythical creatures, paranormal stories, or even in fairytales. For me, humans just created them to entertain everyone, to make us believe in fantasies and escaped reality. But I won't deny that I am a fan of them when I was still young. I used to love watching related movies and series about them. However, it was just when I was still young. But how can I explain what Bea told me? If their kinds doesn't exist. Then what is the meaning of the bite marks on her body? Her fears? She's not even the type to lie on such things. So, if Red and Mr. Gray are both real vampires, if it's the truth, then...she's really in danger. I need to do something. I pushed myself to make more steps. His eyes went up to me. He was about to stand up and leave, but he waited on me. I evaded my gaze and glanced at some of my classmates who were also still in the room. They were all laughing and conversing with one another happily. While I was there, full ofthere hidden fears. "Yes, Ms. Fredrich?" He asked. I swallowed hard. Now I know why I can't even make eye contact with him. Why I have this heavy feeling every time he's near me. This monster. How can he act decently despite his evil deeds? "Can I talk to you for a minute?" I could feel his intent stare at me. I hide my trembling hands behind my back. "About what--" "Sir! I heard you will treat us today!" One of my classmates giggled. I glanced at them, and I couldn't help but imagine that they were his treat instead. That we were all his food. I am not excluded. I immediately left the room. I thought I could talk to him, but I couldn't. I was afraid that he will do same thing to me on what he did to Bea. I hid myself in the bathroom, and there I cried. I decided to talk to him, but I knew it wasn't easy. But how can I make them stop torturing my friend? How can I make them leave her alone? How can I stop those monsters? I can't bear anymore to see her like that! My sobs stopped when I noticed the silence of the surrounding. Cold sweat prickles over my skin. Where are the others? To my horror, I saw a pair of men's shoes in front of the cubicle. My heart pounded, and fear stretched more when I realized who it was. A bullet of panic rises in my throat. "Ms. Fredrich, you want to talk to me, right? I want to hear it now." He spoke in a low and cold voice. I covered my mouth but he kicked the door, making me gasp and shriek. My eyes widened in fear. Does he know that I already know their secrets? But how? I didn't say anything! "I know you're there. Come on, quit acting. You want to talk to me, right? Now, let's talk." "H-help me! Please, help!" I screamed. His laughter echoed inside. That was the first time I felt so much fear. I hugged myself as if I was protecting myself. "No one is here beside us. So come here and don't make me get mad, Zaraniel." "N-no! Someone, please help me!" My adrenaline surgers when I saw the door handle. He was trying to open it! I immediately pulled it and secured its lock. Is he going to kill me? "Ms. Fredrich, are you testing your professor's patience?" "W-Why are you here? I don't want to talk to you! You are a monster!" I cried. "So you really know." My body trembled. I stepped back when he banged the door with so much force. "P-Please stop!" My tears flowed with pure of anxiety when he opened it. I saw him darkly looking at me. Before I could scream more, he was already in front of me, in just a blink of an eye. He held my chin and scanned my face. "You look better than your useless friend." My eyes widened. For the first time, I saw him smirking devilishly. He leaned on me, and the only thing I could do was push myself back against the cold tiles. "And your smell is really so tempting..." I shut my eyes when he let his nose glide over my jaw and neck. Is he going to bite me too? "P-please don't..." "Don't? What? Bite you...? But I can't hold myself any longer, Ms. Fredrich. Your smell is making me lose my mind. What can you do about it, then? Hmm?" I opened my eyes. He was looking at me intently. I saw a glint of gold in his eyes. I was stunned. Bea's words and face suddenly flashed. She's true! They are not normal! They are vampires! "Tell me.." Then her sobbings and pleading appeared too. I clenched my fists with a racing heartbeats and cold sweats. "T-then leave my friend alone. Leave her alone!" His eyes sparked for a moment. "Oh? Are you trying to get my pet away from me?" Pet? My rage surged. "S-She's not your pet! So leave her alone!" My breath hitched when he held my waist. "Are you suggesting yourself to be my pet instead, hmm?" He sniffed my hair and neck again. "Answer me." His voice was full of authority. Can I really do this? Can I save my friend's life? I sobbed when I decided. "T-Then yes. But you have to leave her alone. You and your brother. " I was dumbfounded when he laughed. He turned his back on me, still laughing. Every corner of the room filled by his growl and laughter. It's sounded like a call from evil. I cannot think straight. I hugged myself while still trying to calm myself down. "You're really something," he said as his eyes met mine again. "You will risk anything, even your own life, just because of that girl?" "You won't understand because you're not...a human." He ran his fingers on his hair. He crouched and touched my chin. "Good reason there." his pupils moved up and down to my face. "I want to talk to you more, but I need something urgent to do. Let's just talk again some other time. I'll just send you the time and location." He stroked my cheeks and jaw repeatedly. "You have to come, or I will." he added before he stood out. My knees finally gave up as soon as he left. Tears streamed down my face. What should I do?
