Olivia’s POV
I stood frozen in the doorway, my heart pounding in my chest as I stared at Liam. He looked
just as shocked as I felt, his eyes widening in recognition.
"Olivia?" he gasped, taking a step towards me.
I couldn't find my voice. The tray in my hands suddenly felt impossibly heavy, and I struggled
to keep it steady. All the pain and humiliation from that fateful day came rushing back,
threatening to overwhelm me.
"What are you doing here?" Liam demanded, his surprise quickly turning to something
harder, almost angry.
"We thought you were dead!"
Before I could respond, another voice cut through the tension.
"What's going on here?"
I turned to see Ethan, the Lycan King himself, emerging from the opposite room. His eyes
locked onto me, and I saw the moment of recognition flash across his face.
"Olivia?" he said, his voice softer than Liam's had been.
"How is this possible?"
I felt trapped, cornered by the two men I had hoped never to see again. My instincts
screamed at me to run, but I knew there was nowhere to go. I had to face this head-on.
taking a deep breath, I steadied myself and placed the tray on a nearby table. Then I turned
to face them both, summoning every ounce of courage I possessed."Your Majesty, My Lord,
" I said, forcing my voice to remain calm.
I... I didn't know you would be staying here.
"
"I apologize for the shock.
"Clearly,
" Liam scoffed.
"Or you wouldn't be here at all, would you?"
I flinched at his harsh tone, but before I could respond, Ethan held up a hand, silencing his
step-brother.
"Olivia,
" he said, his voice gentle but firm. That’s fine, we all did not expect to see eachother
here. Go ahead and serve my food. I am famished. The Lycan king said, going back inside
his room.
I nodded bowing to both brothers before proceeding to serve them in their separate rooms.
After I was done serving them, I retreated back to my room to rest.
The next morning I work up very well to prepare for the day ahead.
The hotel was buzzing with activity as preparations for the major event reached their peak.
Maids were all over , attending to last-minute details and ensuring everything was perfect for
our prestigious guests.
As I helped set up the grand ballroom, I overheard a conversation that made me pause.
"Can you believe it? Alpha Ryder and the Lycan King in the same room?" one maid
whispered excitedly.
"I know! I heard they can't stand each other,
" another replied.
My mind raced as I heard those words. Ryder was an Alpha? And he had a rivalry with the
Lycan King? How had I not known this?
As if summoned by my thoughts, Ryder entered the ballroom, his presence commanding
attention. I watched as he exchanged a tense nod with Ethan, who had just arrived. The
hatred between them was very obvious.
The event began, and I found myself moving among the guests, serving drinks and hors
d'oeuvres. I tried to avoid Liam and Ethan, but in such a crowded space, it was impossible.
Eventually, I found myself approaching Liam's table with a tray of drinks. As I offered him a
glass, his eyes narrowed. I wasn’t so sure if it was intentional or by mistake but Liam moved
is leg across where I was supposed to place my legs and I missed a step , and suddenly, the
glass of red wine I was holding spilled all over Liam's white shirt.
For a moment, everything seemed to stop. Liam's face turned red with anger, and he smiled
in a mean way."You stupid girl!" he yelled loudly.
"Look what you've done!"
I tried to say sorry, my hands shaking as I tried to clean up the mess. But Liam wasn't done
being mean.
"Maybe you did this on purpose,
" he said nastily.
you, Olivia?"
"Are you still mad about me not wanting
Everyone in the room was looking at us now. I felt my face get hot with shame.
"I'm sorry, it was an accident,
" I said quietly.
Liam grabbed my arm really hard.
but a—
"
"You don't belong here,
" he said angrily.
"You're nothing
"Stop it, Liam.
" Ethan's strong voice interrupted. He was suddenly next to me, looking
serious.
I saw Ryder coming over too, looking angry and ready to help.
But it was too late. I felt tears in my eyes as everyone stared at me. Without saying anything,
I pulled my arm away and ran out of the room. I could hear people whispering as I left.
Just when I thought I was finally away from embarrassment and humiliation, they came back
to remind me of my past.
I ran to the bar in the same compound, although maids are not allowed there but because of
how close I was to Ryder I can go there. I found a a glass and wine. I took them and went
back to my room, gulping the drink like my life depended on it.
I kept drinking till I was starting to feel tipsy, and so I dropped the wine, laying helplessly on
my bed and crying. After about 3 hours , one of the maids came to tell me the head maid
needs my attention and that the meeting was over. I went there and joined the maid in
cleaning up the place despite how miserable I was. Luckily for me, everyone had gone back
to their rooms to rest. When we were done cleaning, the head maid asked me to go and
serve The royal brothers again.
I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves as I prepared the trays of food. My hands
were still shaking slightly from the earlier incident and the alcohol I had consumed. I decided
to serve the Lycan King first, hoping to avoid another confrontation with Liam.
As I approached Ethan's room, I knocked gently on the door.
"Come in,
" his deep voice called from inside.I entered, keeping my eyes lowered as I set the tray on the nearby table. Ethan must have
noticed my discomfort because he spoke up, his voice surprisingly gentle.
"Olivia, are you alright? You seem scared.
"
I looked up, meeting his concerned gaze.
"I... I'm fine, Your Majesty. Just a bit shaken from
earlier.
"
Ethan frowned, then called out to another maid passing in the hallway.

"Please take Liam's
"Olivia, you can serve me
Relieved, I nodded gratefully and began setting out his meal. As I finished, I turned to leave,
but Ethan's voice stopped me.
"Don't go yet. I'd like to speak with you, if you don't mind.
"
I froze, unsure of what to expect. Slowly, I turned back to face the Lycan King, he signaled
me to sit across him.
“How are you? “ the king asked me calmly.. I was so surprised that he was asking me this
question.. I have never had to interact with the king before. I mean who will except the
royals.
“ I am fine my king,
” I answered him bowing respectfully. While the king was talking to me,
he was sipping a glass on wine. He offered to give me, though I tried rejecting it, but he
refused and asked me to drink with.
Before I knew what was going on I was starting to feel drunk. The alcohol had taken over .
I moved more closer to the Lycan king drunkenly and wrapped my hands around him.
look cute when you’re drunk.
” The king murmured but audible enough for me to hear.
“ You
I released my grip on him and looked directly at him “You look handsome,
" I murmured,
leaning in to kiss him passionately, as if pouring out all my pain. He responded with equal
fervor, kissing me as though he had been starved of affection for a long time.
The next thing I knew, I woke up in an unfamiliar bed in an unknown room. I couldn't
remember how I got there. As I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, I heard a voice.
“ Good morning beautiful “
