CHAPTER FOUR

858 Words
Tutoring Glen was the hardest thing I've ever done in my highschool life. All the other students I tutored were easy and simple and I even enjoyed and learnt too from them. But Glen was different all he did was stare at the books as I busy explained everything. He never asked a question or even bother to raise her head and look at me. His dark eyes were just fixed in the book it's as if his mind was just lost somewhere else. After that boring, 'talk to myself' session, I was happy it's over. "Thank you." He finally said. I looked at him and his eyes looked different from always. He always looked tough and a bully type but his eyes had a language. It's like he was communicating to me with his eyes. "Welcome, have this." I said looking away from him, he looked so weak, like a slave tortured for years. He took the paper in my hands and looked through it then stood up and left. I watched him slowly as he walked out of the door, expecting he'll turn to look at me but he didn't instead he pushed his hoodie hat on his head and walked out like a weirdo. I was now curious to know what made him look that weak and helpless it had to be something serious. "I never knew you read in the computer lab." A voice startled me from behind and I turned immediately. "Hey Dave." I said still trying to turn my senses back to him. "Are you okay?" He asked immediately, I guess he saw my facial expressions and it just communicated what I was trying to do." "Yeah....yeah I'm fine, you?" I asked wierdly. "Great." He answered narrowing his eyebrows as if to focus his rods and chords to me. "I'm fine, really." I said. He smiled sweetly and I couldn't help but notice how his cheekbones looked so cute when he smiles. "Okay anyway, I wanted to ask you....to...uumh....if it's fine by you..." He stopped and rubbed his fingers in his hair and I wondered what made him that nervous. To make matters more interesting I wasn't nervous like I used to when he spoke to me. "I want you to...you know it's practice time and I would love if you would come watch me practice." He finally said. "Oooh really?" I asked excitedly and he nodded. "Fine I'll see you there in a sec just let me pack my books. Meet you there." I uttered and he nodded again standing up and leaving quietly. He was just the perfect guy for me, tall and very handsome. I packed my books and after that left the computer lab. I headed to my locker and stuffed my books in and decided to find Alex first before going to watch Dave practice. After a minute or two of searching through the halls I finally found Alex. "What's up, are you in such a hurry to go home?" Alex questioned as we walked passed the hallway to the back of the school where the grounds were. "I have good and exciting news but promise you won't scream." I stated knowing Alex's behavior especially when it came to Dave. "Now you are making me very nervous." "Dave wants me to watch him practise and I don't want to be...." Before I could finish Alex was already hugging me tight and screaming excitedly. "Shut up!" Amy passed by saying. "Are you serious, do you know what this mean. He likes you Mia." "Can you stop being dramatic, young lady." "Well let's go." Alex said excitedly as we opened the back door leading to the field. Dave's image popped out immediately we were out and he was shirtless. He was busy practicing running around and doing squats and frog jumps. "I would die to be you right now." Alex whispered as we moved closer and took our seats on one of the benches at the bleacher. There were a few people there cheering some just seated with their phones. Shortly an image came to sight. A guy in a dark hoodie, Glen. He was busy writing something or drawing I couldn't figure it out. His eyes and practically everything was fixed on whatever he was doing. I took a deep breathe and thought of going to sit next to him and get to know what he was writing but I just took it slow. The practice was incredible and Dave couldn't help but show off his muscles to the fans sitting on the benchers, well especially me. He was incredibly built up, him being shirtless made his muscles bigger and sexier. 's**t what am I thinking.' In a while the practice was over and Dave headed to his locker room to go change. My eyes shifted back to Glen and I saw him stand up and walk out of the field and heading for the door. He didn't look back, I wished I had the same capability of not looking back when walking. This time I noticed he had black boots. He surely had a thing for black.
