"And who the hell are you?" I snapped angrily at the stranger as I quickly stood up and tried to wipe my tears away. If there was something I hated more than crying, it was being seen doing it and more by a stranger. And especially a gorgeous one. "Where did you come from?" Asked the stranger out of nowhere. I looked at him suspiciously, I should be the one asking him that, but there was also something strange in his voice. She was grave and silky at the same time, strangely soothing and with a hint of an accent, he didn't recognize. He truly was a guy who captivated you in every way, but I wasn't going to let him see it. He interrupted my moment of misery and I will not forgive him so easily. Shaking off the dust and leaves that had stuck to my clothes while he cried, I replied. "I'm the one who should ask you that." I lifted my chin and put my hands on my hips, trying to make myself bigger but surely I was making a fool of myself. I'm barely five foot six, while this stranger looked to be around six feet. It's ridiculous that she tried to intimidate him. There was truly something unusual about the subject. Not only was he handsome, with dark hair, tall, lean, and muscular, but all of his demeanor made my hair stand on end. Where the hell had it come from? Although I cannot transform into a Wolf, my hearing is much better than that of an average human and equal to that of any other lycanthrope without transforming, someone couldn't be so stealthy as to approach without making noise. And why, if it was ten degrees below zero, as he hardly wearing pants and a T-shirt? The stranger just looks at me with a small amused smile, but his eyes, so similar to mine, look at me with cold calculation. I don't like this guy. Slowly and covertly I begin to look around my surroundings. I am in a section of the forest that I have never been to before, the sunlight is more diffuse here and only comes in in patches thanks to the thick treetops that give the light an orange tint with their dry leaves, but even so, I know that we are still on the Institute's grounds. No matter how much he has run, just as the building where our pack lives is gigantic, it is also the forest land that belongs to us, otherwise, no one could transform and run like a wolf in freedom, away from the eyes of humans. So what is this guy doing here? "This is private property," I tell him in the most authoritative voice I can, pretending that every second I spend in the company of this stranger doesn't freeze my blood, "I don't know who you are or how you got here, but you'd better go." The stranger takes a deliberate step towards me and I try to hold my ground, although it is difficult to do so when you feel like prey being surrounded by a predator. And that's how I feel, his eyes never leave mine and in a movement that seems more fluid than possible, he stands just two steps away from me. "What's your name, little one?" Ah well, now he has done it. Not only does he enter private property and ignore my words, but does he also have to be superior to that arrogant tone? Also, I very much doubt that he wants to know who I am, it is absurd that he has a real interest and I am not in the mood to answer any stupid question and I do not care that he is a Greek god it is not his problem, he will not do anything about it, it is a Waste of time giving information to this stranger. "It's none of your business." I spat out the words and his smile widened. This seemed to be nothing more than a game to him. -"It's none of your business"? Well, that is quite a long name for such a small creature. Enraged I felt him blush at me and clench my fists I tried not to slap him, instead, I rolled my eyes at his silly joke. "Yeah well, what can I say?" I spoke angrily. "I'm full of surprises." His face suddenly turned serious and he muttered. "For sure YES" Without warning, his hand came up to my face and I felt his fingers on my cheek. "Hey!" I yelled with a start and yanked his hand away, taking a few steps back. His touch hadn't been violent it had been soft as a feather but that wasn't important. Who the f**k did this guy think he was to touch me with ?! "Do not touch me!" The stranger raised both hands in a kind of peaceful gesture, but his face was alive with interest. As if I were a toy that he found extremely amusing. "My apologies" he said and despite his smile, he sounded sincere. "I'd better go, but I have the feeling that we will see each other again" Those words ... sounded more like a promise than anything else. "I sincerely hope that it is not like that," I answered him honestly, seeing how he turned his back on me and walked away to the north, away from the institute. "I think you'll be surprised ... Lia" What the hell!? I wanted to ask him how he knew my name, but in the blink of an eye, the stranger had disappeared leaving me alone and confused.
