Julia's POV As I ran, the trees seemed to blur together, their branches reaching out like skeletal fingers I cared lace about ththem. My memory kept playing everything that had just happened to me, tears kept flowing out of my eyes, I had so many questions but little to no answers. “Had Veronica temporarily left the Alpha in order for him to use me an dump me?” I stumbled, my foot catching on a hidden root, but managed to catch myself before I fell. The forest was dense, the underbrush thick and unforgiving. I pushed through it, my heart pounding in my chest. I could feel the pack's territory behind me, the weight of their rejection and disdain. I felt the different kind of anger from that I had always known.I felt like a could kill a person, probably Veronica.‘Oh you wish’ My sub consciousness reminded.I wasn't strong enough to kill a wolf.Maybe Xavier was right after all, I'm just a weakling.I guess my wolf also never wanted to be with me, ‘Was I this insufferable?’I couldn't help but think. Suddenly, I heard the sound of footsteps behind me – heavy, deliberate footsteps. I spun around, my heart racing, and saw a group of rough-looking men emerging from the trees. They were rogues, their eyes gleaming with a feral light. They moved with a fluid, predatory grace, their movements eerily silent. I tried to run, but they were too fast. They caught me, their hands closing around my wrists and ankles like vice grips. I struggled and kicked, but they held me firm. One of them, the apparent leader, leaned in close, his breath hot against my ear. "Look at her eyes," one of them said. "You're a pretty little thing," their leader sneered. "We'll get a good price for you." I felt a wave of fear wash over me, followed by a surge of adrenaline. I knew I had to escape, no matter what. But for now, I was trapped, at the mercy of these ruthless rogues. As the rogues dragged me away, I struggled to keep up with their pace. They moved swiftly and silently, their footsteps quiet on the forest floor. I stumbled, my feet catching on roots and rocks, but they held me firm. We eventually arrived at a makeshift camp, surrounded by a rickety fence. The rogues tossed me into a small, cramped tent, and I landed hard on the dirt floor. One of the rogues, the leader, entered the tent and loomed over me. "You're going to make us a pretty penny," he sneered. "You're a rare breed, after all." I glared up at him, trying to hide my fear. "What do you want from me?" I demanded. The leader chuckled. "Oh, we'll get to that soon enough. For now, just rest and enjoy the accommodations." He turned to leave, but not before delivering a cruel kick to my stomach. I doubled over, gasping in pain, my thoughts racing to my pup. I would kill this rogue if I got the chance. The tent flap closed behind him, and I was left alone in the darkness, my mind racing with fear and uncertainty. What did the rogues plan to do with me? And how could I escape?
