She had eyed the shelves quite extensively torn between a sweet vermouth and another aperitif. She didn't feel a sparkling rose would cut it this time.
When she finally got home she began preparing for her experiment. Whatever this was, could she induce it? Could she summon Jane into her dreams on purpose? She looked at the bottle in front of her, glass in hand. She wondered where she should take this... Bedroom? Couch? A bit early for bed though, so, she decided for the couch, she fecthed the notebook and sat down, drink and glass on the coffee table. She poured herself a drink, and wondered what had Jane like to drink? Come to think of it, she didn't remember ever seeing Jane drinking. Did she drink at all? Hard Cider maybe.. She had a brief recollection of her saying that to her, or was it to Julia? She remebered an office party, not sure whatever they had been celebrating at the time, there was rose lambrusco and some other wine.. she remebered Jane had stuck to cola but had commented something about it when someone asked. Truth to be told Alice detested parties, so she tended to blend into the back and just watch everyone around her, unless there was someone that caught her interest and she would try her hand at socialising.
Back to the present moment.. setting the stage to summon her personal demon, ghost? She recalled the last time she dreamt of her and what it had involved... She blushed thinking about it, and suddenly the thought of her own inexperience frightened her... No that would not do! But what could she do to change that? Suddenly an idea came to mind and she eyed the remote control... Well she could get some er theoretical insights maybe.. on pay-per-view.
She couldn't believe she was going to do this... She filled her glass right up to the top as she grabbed the remote and scan through the catalogue of l*sb**n p**n. Omg these titles were awful! She looked accusingly at the book as if it was to blame. She downed half a glass straight and chose one film at random.
