They kept kissing on the couch, teasing and joking with each other. Jane caught a stray tear falling down her cheek "Hey beautiful, what is it?" Alice had a sad smile on her face "I was just thinking... Could we have had this for real?" Jane looked a bit sad as well "I often dreamt about it you know..." Alice leaned her head on Jane's shoulder as Jane combed her hands through Alice's hair and continued "I thought of moments just like this... Talking, playing.. sharing a life together." She kissed the top of Alice's head "Even after I realised that I would never be who you wanted..." She felt Alice shiver a nuzzle close to her neck at that "I wished I could show you how much I could make you happy, in moments like this, or cuddling with you as you showed me your favourite sci-fis" Jane could feel a smile against her neck and she made Alice look at her "But this.. whatever this is... We have it now. Let's just enjoy it while we can". It suddenly hit Alice that whatever this was... She couldn't be sure it would be forever! Be it a dream, a gap in space time or divine intervention... If it was true that Jane also had no idea of what was happening... How long did they really had? It was with this heavy heart that she kissed Jane with all she had and Jane responded with equal fervor.

Alice felt Jane's hands roam her body, soft, warm, but strong, strong just enough to want to give up control.
