Chapter TenNova woke Amethyst, and she opened her eyes to see the giant structure with two enormous knights on either side. Each knight appeared as if they held the doorway and their silhouette together resembled a large tree. The structure was ancient, and the weather had eroded most of the exterior. The giant knights had parts of their bodies missing, and it seemed no one had been there for a long time. Amethyst stood staring at them in amazement; she had never seen anything like this before.
“Why is the doorway so huge?” she asked as she walked around and stared at each stone knight.
“It was built like this because there once lived a giant who guarded the tree,” Nova told her.
