Amethyst stared at it as a green liquid came out. The substance hit her, burning her skin. She knew it was some kind of acid, so she tried to heat herself to cook the cocoon, but it was no use. The web was not flammable. What am I going to do? Amethyst panicked. More of the liquid started to enter the cocoon, melting the tips of her shoes. Unable to burn herself out, she inhaled as much air as she could, then slowly released it out through her mouth to freeze the cocoon as well as the substance. As the inside of the cocoon became frigid, the spider shrieked; the ice had frozen its fang in place. The spider’s movements were violent as it tried to remove itself from the cold. When the spider managed to rip its tooth free, the cocoon flew against a wall and shattered into many pieces. Ame
