She turned around, and there the monster smiled with an open mouth. It snapped at her but missed as Amethyst leaped into the water. Azu inhaled and heated the pool until it boiled, the steam it produced blanketing the entire area as it rose upward. At the top of the room was a hole where the sun’s light entered, and the steam went out. Azu scanned everywhere, but it was not able to find Amethyst.
Then, a massive wall rammed into Azu. The wall crushed the monster into one of the statues, which it fell on top of it. Amethyst slowed her breathing and looked at Nova as she shook her head.
