Chapter ElevenIt was late when Nova and Amethyst left the structure to collect the water. Amethyst studied the fruit and wondered how it could cure her mother along with a gem, a cauldron, and water. Light reflected off of it, so she looked up to notice a glow in the distance. Amethyst stared at the light and asked Nova what it was. He turned his head to see and knew where the beam was coming from, so he told her to ignore it and focus on the task.
“Nova, we have to see what’s glowing over there.”
“No, we do not. It’s just something that has no importance to us.”
“But something tells me that it's coming from the castle.”
“I am sure it is not.”
Amethyst returned to staring at the fruit. “We must check it out quickly.”
