Chapter 27I'm still not satisfied that Juan Gonzales had anything to do with Michelle's murder and I feel I must question Jacques once again, but how to do this without upsetting my boss is a real problem. I decide to make the excuse of wanting to look over any personal papers Michelle kept at the house, to try to establish any contacts she might have had that we've missed.
When I telephone, Helene answers, “Oui, bonjour,” she says.
