Chapter 18We are no sooner in the office on Monday morning, when we receive a call informing us that the Moliner estate agency has had a break in and requesting us to attend. Paul and I go around immediately. From outside the shop, there is no obvious sign of trouble, but when we enter, it's a different story. Every drawer, shelf and cupboard has been systematically emptied of its contents, which are strewn across the floor. Helene and Marie are both shocked and in tears. The front door is once again closed to the public, who are queuing up outside hoping to air their grievances and petty problems. Paul sends them on their way then places a notice in the window informing people that the office is closed. Amidst the chaos, when I glance out of the window, I'm certain I see Guy Legler hurry
