Kael stepped away from Cora and lightly rested his hands on my shoulders.
“Never think you don’t have other options, Aria. You’ll always have a place here. And if that pack steps even a little out of line, I’ll bring the full power of the council down on them. You’re not facing this alone.”
“But it’s also a great chance for you to get to know them,” Cora quickly added, sending him a look. She’d been supporting Team Blackthorn all day, starting with that long scenic drive into town. “You should make the most of your time with them and enjoy having their protection.”
Kael immediately nodded in agreement.
“Right. Laws aside, you’re still an omega, and living with a powerful pack will discourage anyone from crossing the line. Nobody wants to make enemies of those four.”
