chapter 1 back ground 3 pov
1000 years ago a deadly war broke between the humans and the supernatural. This war kill 100,000 people and more, then entire human race was earsed from the face of the earth. The Moon Goddess, Selena, wept for the humans and the supernatural's that where lost in the war. Selena made a decision that day, to make sure nothing happens like that again, every 100 years she will be reborn by a different race with at most 5 mates of different races to keep peace on earth, but with great power there can also be destruction. After two lifetimes came a prophecy that a decendent of Selene would be rejected by a mate before coming of age, and this will lead to the destruction of earth. Dragons, Merefolk, Elfs, Fae, Werewolves, Vampiers, and Durids. For many years even if there fated mates where of a different race they would not accept them, Until Selena came forth after the 100th year of war. She a druid and was mate to 1 each of the other races. There love was known through all relems. She had a child with each race making the first hybrids. Hybrids are now being accept as part of the norm, but even then a Selena decendent was never a hybrid. Always a pure blood of that race. Every decendent is born under a full moon with a crescent moon birth mark, sometimes seen at birth and sometimes not until that girl is 18. At 18 a decendent will come into her power on a full moon night which in turn her mates full power can be seen. Though seen can not be used until the mate is marked and mates with them all. In this world Same s*x doesn't matter only love and trust in the Goddess will. Rejecting your mate means losing a piece of yourself. Losing your mate is painful, some can barely live after, those who do can sometimes find a second chance mate, and those rejected are blessed with a second chance, but those rejecting their feel it, they feel everything there mate is feeling if they are with someone, they feel their pain, pleasure, emotions. Even after rejecting their fated mate, they are still connected to them. Never finding happiness again. This is the pain of rejecting your other half.
