18. Battle and a deal with tree demon

" oh ho what do we have here a tree demon haaa ,I didn't expect to meet a tree demon here." said snow . I didn't understood what snow actually meant I know tree demons they are said to be a species which are well hidden and strengthens their bodies by absorbing dead beasts/humans bodies . But I couldn't help but take a second look at the tree infront me but no matter how much I see I couldn't figure out how this tree is a tree demon and how could snow guessed correctly .

Seeing me looking at her with confused expression snow sneered towards me and said " I know what you are thinking , it is not the real image of tree demons , the pictures and videos and the teachers who taught you about the tree demons are all wrong because real tree demons don't look like what you see in the photos . the demons in the photos are the descendants of the weak exiled members of tree demons. if you really want to know how to easily guess whether it is a tree demon or not it is very easy because tree demon always carries a smell of blood and the tree demon tries to trap the pray in illusion.

Now I understood why wherever I looked in my way I couldn't determine my location so it is because of this tree demon . I stared at the tree with resentment just as I was thinking about what to do I was suddenly attached by the vines and roots of the tree demon since it has already started I have to kindly respond to my opponent right . I thought for a moment and called Goldy and told snow to buy me few seconds so that I can merge with Goldy so that I can fight to my heart's content .

Seeing snow and Silvy delaying time I went near Goldy and started beast merging after a few seconds I can see both mine and goldy's power merging and my hair turned golden ,my pupils turned golden , I grew some golden hair on hands and legs my power increased I can naturally feel closer to light. and fire element in this form due to goldy's nature . Seeing that they are unable to hold any longer I rushed towards the battle with the help of golden flame I was able to make it back off in the same time I took both snow and Silvy back to my space then I looked towards tree demon and said round -2 , after shouting I rushed towards the tree demon with two swords in my hand one is made of element fire other Is light .

Seeing me trying to damage the tree demon with fire it smartly used the snow to cover the roots and vines and used them to only make sneak attack . Actually if I use some big moves I can easily kill it but actually I wanted to test my fighting limits and natural instincts so even though it is tough to battle like this but I still wanted to push to the limit I actually discovered a suprised discovery that is my rate of tempering the skin with light increased several times due to the merging of Goldy .

This is certainly a suprise and I was distracted for a moment due to this and was attacked by a wine which hit hard on my stomach . I was rolled back several meters before I can get a grip , I can see that the vine hit hard very hard now I learned a lesson that is Never ever get distracted in a battle otherwise it may be life threatening . I glanced at the tree demon before wiping the small blood from my mouth and said "Again" and then I started fighting the tree demon again this time I seriously fought with it without distractions due to this I was easily able to cut down many of it's vines just as I was about to kill the tree demon . I suddenly heard a voice " Hey boy , stop what you are doing " I was immediately startled and looked around but I couldn't sense anybody I even called both Snow and Silvy to check the situation from their perspectives but alas I couldn't find anyone so I thought I was hallucinatied and wanted to cut the tree demon.

This time the voice anxiously called out to me and said boy "I am begging you please stop " . Now I understood this voice must belong to this tree demon . I chuckled inwardly " Why should I stop and who are you to stop me from this tree demon if you are brave enough come out and talk " by saying this I looked towards tree demon and said isn't that right Mr.Tree demon .

As soon as I said those words I can see the tree infront me shaking for a moment before becoming silent . I already noticed the shaking and now I can guarantee 100 percent that the voice belong to tree demon . I was actually amused by this tree demon's tactics it actually wanted to pretend to be like an expert and wanted to make him leave thinking that this tree demon must be that expert's pet but now I already know that I the voice belong to tree demon .

So without delaying the time I started preparing big spell to destroy the tree demon seeing me preparing big spell to destroy it . Tree demon anxiously shouted ," Boy stop, stop the spell I am the tree demon , i know why you are here you are all attracted by twin snow flowers right , only I know where it is as long as you spare me I will reveal the details to you ". I looked towards the tree demon and said Indifferently " oh so now, you are trying to co-operate haaa as long as I kill you won't the map or something like that can show the directions on you will be mine right ? I questioned

Seeing my doubting expression the voice this time also came anxiously and said " No there is no map except for me nobody even knows which area is the flower going to bloom and what is the safest route as long as you promise me to not kill me I can give you the information . "

After pondering for a moment I said

"Okay Deal "

then the voice also said "Deal "
