FLAMES OF REVENGE

Is it too quiet? Before Chelsea had the chance to recover from the Joy of her escape, she was frozen in her steps as she saw the man that was about to capture her, intimately holding another girl in his arms. Moreover, that girl was not a stranger to her it was her partner, best friend, younger sister, and the only one she opened herself to who shared the same goal with, her best friend Ida. Ida was delicately holding a document in her hands, smiling meekly, and shook her head gently, her face flushed as red as a tomato. Chelsea felt as if an icy needle was slowly piercing her heart, as she felt a piercing pain while looking at the scene unfolding before her. This unspeakable pain led Chelsea to take a large step forward. Ida immediately shrunk back, fear was shown on her delicate small face with a trembling voice, she cried out "Chelsea let me explain……" "There's no need to explain" The man stood up, his handsome face showing a cold indifference as he patted Ida on her shoulder and softly said, "There's nothing to explain". Chelsea's face paled stepping back quickly "Nothing to explain, haha… you say there's nothing to explain" She had waited for 14 years, 14 long years of persistent waiting and this was the result "betrayal". "What you've done you know it full well" his tone was ice-cold and ruthless, he's eyes were full of mockery when he looked at her. "I thought you were just young and naive but it seems that is not the case" Grabbing her hand he pulled her away, turning back to Ida who no longer had that fear in her eyes as the door shut. Taking her to a room before throwing her in and shutting the door. Chelsea's eyes were starting to lose focus as her surrounding seem to get darker and darker. Her eyes were covered with tears and soon she saw a small blue light glowing on her face as she heard the voice of her late parents who she had worked so hard to avenge as they called her. "Don't cry Chelsea we're here, we never left you" "Mom…., Dad…." Sobbing her eyes out she reached her hands for the light only for it to disappear as the face of her worst enemy appeared before her eyes wrapping his hands around her neck his eyes held a faint golden glow as he tightened his hands around her neck choking and suffocating her at the same time wondering if this was her mission ends, were her revenge and were her life ends. ********************** "Mommy I had a nightmare" little Chelsea who was 6 years old cried in her mother's arms as her father walked into the room smiling at his warm family which was not big but comfortable. Which included himself, his wife, and his 6 years old daughter who for some reason always acts childish despite her age. Walking up to them he patted her head and asked the problem, little Chelsea became excited at the site of her father and instantly poured out her frustration, blaming her father for not always being at home and away outing with her mother "No sweetheart it's not like that" Turning a deaf ear to their pleading she completely ignored them and went back to sleep. Feeling guilty for the depressed state of their only daughter, both Henry and his wife Ida left the room after quietly wishing her a good night's rest as they slowly closed the door after turning off the light. Chelsea pretended to sleep out her eyes which were covered in tears wishing for once her parent will stay by her side and comfort her instead of leaving her alone when she was sad. Not letting the tears run down her doll-like little face she immediately dried them up and shut her eye again hoping to get some sleep. ***************************** On entering the office Ida nagged her husband on retiring again hoping to persuade him to quit and live their remaining life with Chelsea who craved their time and attention rather than fighting off monsters. Henry who understood his wife's anger encouraged her that this was their last mission and should be finished before anything else. As they set off for their mission leaving the house in the middle of the night. *********************** Chelsea who couldn't fall asleep stood up to get some water and accidentally noticed her parent walking toward the forest which was opposite their house and which have been announced off-limits by the government due to many accidents of wild animals eating humans. Wondering while her parent was going there, again at this ungodly hour of the night. Taking out her pajamas jacket she immediately ran out of the house to the forest to warn them of the danger but to her dismay they were already gone. As fears gripped hold of her small figure she prepared herself and ran into the forest making sure to be as quiet as possible. On going deeper and deeper into the forest she still couldn't find her parents. Suddenly she heard the howling of wolves which was as loud as a trumpet scaring the little life out of her, then following the howl her parents ran out of that direction as 8 big black wolves chased after them. Running in her direction Ida who noticed the small figure hiding by the tree immediately got scared as she could see that was her daughter who for some reason followed them into this dangerous place. Out of shock her mother immediately stopped in her tracks making her father notice her too, anger immediately grew in his eyes as he shot a wooden steak at the wolf's chest behind him making the rest slow down afraid of also getting shot too taking a few steps back before charging forward again. Before Chelsea knew her parents who were running out of the forest in her direction turned to their left leading them deeper into the forest as the forest only had one route out. Chelsea who was about to follow stopped due to fear as she saw the biggest wolf in her life spring out from behind the rest and with one leap slayed both her parent right before her eyes. Making her heart numb, feeling empty as tears rolled down her eyes without her even making a single sound.
