I couldn’t get her reaction out of my head - the way she froze then had her mouth open to say … nothing. Her mouth uttered not a single word. Instead of an answer, she got off of my lap then headed upstairs. I knew she wasn’t ready, but she didn’t have to be so cold about her aversion.
