No Electricity = "Fun"

I quickly made my way into the house, locking the door behind me. Since we haven't been having any customers lately work will be closing until the killer is found. Turning the news on, hoping to get some forms of entertainment; sadly everything was the same, I switched the channel to something more entertaining. “We interrupt this show to give recent information on the Nathan Kim case, the Sall family consisting of 35 year old James Sall, 32 year old Anna Sall, and their 5 year old daughter Jewel Sall, were attacked today. The mother and father were found all cut up laying in the front yard while the child is nowhere to be seen. We link these to the Nathan Kim murder cases, for the fact the bodies have "special" markings of his initials across what once was their stomach, we will again display his picture and some photos of Jewel Sall, if anyone sees them noti--“ Before the lady could finish her sentence all the power went out. I looked out my window at the raining set, before looking at the houses around mine; all seemed to have no power. I used my phone as a flashlight, walking to my desk where I keep all my power outage geer. I placed candles and flashlights all over the house, more in the rooms that are used the most. I made my way to my room hoping to get a good sleep, but even that was interrupted by my phone going off. "Hello" I said lazily into the phone "Princess" the voice said back, I didn't recognize the voice. "Who is this?" I asked feeling confused "Your husband baby" as soon as that was said the call was ended. I guess this might have been a prank call, or maybe even a husband who was trying to get ahold of his wife, he must be a "real catch" if he doesn't know the sound of his wife's voice, maybe that's why he hung up, he realized he called the wrong person. When I wake up the power is still out, I re-lit the candles that were put out making my way to the kitchen to find something I can eat. I settled on some fruit, while eating I heard a knock on the door. I don't really talk to anybody, so I don't know why anyone would be knocking, I just let the knocks continue. Eventually they stopped, I wanted to go out somewhere and find a place that I can get food. Opening the door I am met with a box, almost half the size as me. I grabbed my keys and cut through the tape on the box, wanting to see what's inside. I screamed and jumped back, i saw a little girl in the box, I pulled it open more trying to check the girl. She appeared to be ok, only a couple minor scratches, and covered in dirt. There was a sticky note on the box, i pulled it off reading it. A gift from me to you princess I quickly picked up the girl, running to the car. I drove to the closest police station, carrying the girl in my arms, as I brought her in. They gave me weird looks but I didn't care. "What seems to be the problem miss" A lady asked. "This morning I found this girl in a box outside my door, there was a note on the box." I said bringing the girl and the note closer. The lady looked at the girl with wide eyes, before coming closer. "That little girl may be the missing Jewel Sall." She said picking her up from my arms. I've been sitting outside the hospital room for almost an hour waiting for tests to come back, i felt my phone vibrate. She wasn't yours to get rid of, she's mine to and I want her home. Don't let them take her. I stared at my phone feeling very confused. Shortly after, the doctors came out asking me if I knew of any place she could possible stay. I offered to watch her until they found someone. When me and Jewel got home I noticed another sticky on the door. Food is on the table for you and Jewel I already ate. Walking into the house, sure enough there was 2 plates on the table. The food was obviously take out, but i still didn't trust it. I ended up just getting us chips to eat. I tucked Jewel into the guest bed leaving her candles lit, and making my way to my room.
