I rolled over, almost jumping out of bed at the feeling of someone else being in my bed.
Jewel layed in my bed curled up with the warm blankets, to her side was another sticky note
My princesses look so cute while they are sleeping
I crumbled up the note, tossing it into the trash bin.
Quietly I went downstairs to start making some pancakes, i'm not much of a cook, but I don't mean to brag when I say I can make some killer instant pancakes.
Shortly after starting I heard the sound of Jewels little feet coming towards me
" What you making?" She asked me, her voice sounding so little and cute.
"Pancakes" I told her, setting 2 on a plate next to her.
After we finished eating i washed the dishes quickly, today I wanted to take Jewel clothes shopping.
Maybe later if she's not tired we can go grocery shopping.
I put my shoes on, and carrying Jewel since she only had a nightgown.
"Pick out some clothes that you like Jewel, and I will get them for you" I told her when we got to the little cloth shop.
I don't have a lot of money for her to get designer clothes, all my clothes come from little thrift shops around town.
After buying clothes Jewel was tired, I decided we could just go home for now and tomorrow I will find a babysitter while I run errands.
Opening the door I notices the kitchen lights were on, I signaled for Jewel to sit down on the couch and made my way towards the kitchen.
Empty bags laid across the counter, with a sticky note on the fridge
You seemed low on food baby, I got you some
The constant notes and the fact someone was breaking into my house to leave them was scaring me
I grabbed my keys and Jewel, along with all the sticky notes that have been left and headed to the police station.
"You said that you don't know anyone with a key to your house, not even family?" The officer asked.
"No, my family live in another state and im not close enough to anyone for them to have a key."
"Let me see the notes, just wait in the room with Jewel and we will let you know if the handwriting matches any letters or notes we have from cases like this before."
" ok" I said, standing up and making my way to the room they brought Jewel to.
Almost 2 hours later the officer come back, the color looked washed from his face
"Did you find who it is?" I asked scared to find out the answer.
"The writing did not match any of handwriting in previous cases, but we know who's writing this is."
"Who's is it?" I asked
" the problem though is, if it is who we think it is, you and Jewel might be in danger. We believe this is the writing of Nathan Kim, we will send officers to sit outside you house to watch over you."
I was shocked with the results, I felt more emotions in this very moment than I've felt in the past month.
The feeling was weird knowing that their was officers outside my house watching every movement inside, and outside my house.
I tucked Jewel into bed, praying that when we wake up tomorrow, Nathan will be in police custody, and we will be safer.
What I found was the total opposite. The bodies of the police were ripped apart laying across my front lawn.
I ran into my house grabbing my phone, calling the police.
I watched as the ambulance carried the bodies away, I kept Jewel inside and away from windows not wanting her to see what's outside.
I watches a officer approached me
"There was a note found, you can look at but we need it for evidence, it appears to be written in the victim's blood"
He handed me the note
Nobody can keep me away from what's mine, in the end I will win.
And with that a hooded figure shot a gun and the police car then darted into the wooded area.
