"Yes? Is there something wrong?"

Biglang tanong ko rito pagkatapos kung matauhan mula pagkatulala sa lalaking nasa aking harapan.

"Yes, baby. Do you know how to drive?" So ano ang gusto niyang iparating na hindi ako marunong? Hmmm, May naisip ako na kapilyahan.

I signed up using the name "Lolly", naisip ko kasi si KC sasabihan ko siyang mag sign up din at Dolly sa kaniya. Hindi ko alam pero na e-excite ako. Para akong bumalik pagka teenager. Baka dito ako makakita ng permanent hook up. Basta no strings attached lang.

I scanned and scrolled the whole dating app. May mga na click ako. Marami din bigla ang nag message. Ang aking thumbnail ay yung picture ko na nakatalikod at nakatingin sa sunset. Sa lahat ng nakita ko na picture sa kaniya lang ang hindi niya picture. Akala ko hindi pwede dito. I'm about to message him ng bigla itong nauna na mag message sa akin. Bigla naman akong napangiti at kinilig.

Strayhorn:

Hindi ko maiwasang matawa sa kaniyang message. May pa angel effect pa siyang nalalaman.

Lolly(Me):

Nagkita kami sa may garden. Para ikwento ko sa kaniya ang boring na orientation. May mga gwapo na doctors but walang dating. Pati ang pamimilit ko dito na mag sign up sa dating.com ay pinush ko na. The next day need namin mag attend ng lecture sa amphitheatre. Kaya no choice maaga pa akong pumasok. Bagot na bagot ako sa lecture kaya ng matapos laking pasasalamat ko. Nagtungo agad kami ni Cassie sa tenth floor, while papasok kami sa elevator I saw the same man na kasama ng kamukha ni Luca sa SB kahapon. So dito pala siya nagwowork. Ngayon ko rin lang kasi siya nakita. We greeted him pero ang suplado.

Nagpunta ako sa OR, siya sa DR. Ngunit nakasunod sa akin ang Doctor. I guess Surgeon.

Nalaman ko naman sa mga staff ng OR na si Dr. Allen Smith pala yon. The famous and young Neuro-Surgeon in the country. May right palang magsuplado. Lodi pala siya. Sige na lang. Hindi ko naman siya type. Ayaw ko ng sobrang cold na tao.

Nagsalita ito at sinabi na may ipapakilala daw na bagong Anesthesiologist. Sino naman kaya. Hindi naman na siguro ako kailangan dito. Hintayin ko na lang. Busy din naman ako. Nasa loob kasi ang isang Neuro Surgeon at busy din siya. Baka hanapin ako, under pa naman ako sa kaniya.

"This is Dr. Luca Evan dela Vega our new Anesthesiologist. He will be working for us now." Napatigil ako sa aking ginagawa. Nanlamig bigla ang aking kamay. It can't be. Mali lang ako ng narinig siguro.

Dahan dahan akong pumihit paharap sa kanila para tingnan ang sinasabing bagong doctor. The moment I turned around and look up, our eyes met. Oh god! He is real. Siya nga!  The brown piercing eyes staring at me and it hit me like a dagger. My lips parted out of shock. This is how we met. No need for next week. Slowly his lips formed into smirk and wink at me. Tinaasan ko ito ng kilay.

"Liar" I mouthed at bigla ko itong inirapan. Kainis! He knows me for sure. He is just pretending from the very start. Makikita niya. Bibitinin ko siya.

Busy pa sila ni Dr. Allen na mag-usap. Pero paminsan minsan sumusulyap ito sa  akin. Nang matapos ako sa aking ginagawa dali dali kung nilisan ang OR. Uuwi muna ako ng condo. Doon na lang ako kakain. I heard Dr. Allen said to him na kakain sila. Kahit gusto kong makasama si Cassie hindi muna pwede. Ayoko siyang makita.

I've heard may operation sila maya maya.  Sasabak pala ito agad agad sa gyera. He is an Anesthesiologist. Walang may nakalagay na ganoon na information sa internet about sa kaniya.

Nang makarating ako sa condo. Nag nap ako saglit after kong kumain ng halos snack lang. Nang magising ako bumalik ako sa hospital. Tama lang dahil sabi ni Dr. Vallejos may OR siya at gusto niya akong mag observe. Actually pwede rin sana ako kanina kina Doc Allen mag observe. Ayoko lang kasi nandoon si Luca. The liar Luca. Ba't ba ako naiinis? Ako din naman hindi nagsabi sa kaniya na isa akong doktor. Kaya quits lang kami.

Operation started and went well. Kahit late ng natapos okay lang. Mabuti na rin dahil mas nauna sila Dr. Allen na matapos kaya hindi na kami nagpang abot ni Luca. Hindi rin siya nagmessage sa araw na'to kaya bahala siya. Hindi ako mauuna no. Sanay akong ako ang hinahabol at inuunahan ng lalaki.

Nagbihis na ako ng aking mini dress and flat Valentino sandal. Ayoko ko kasi nauwi na  naka scrub. Ang dumi sa hospital dapat hindi inuuwi sa bahay. Nag retouch muna ako and good to go na. Dadadaan na lang siguro ako sa Subway para bumili ulit ng dinner ko.

Tahimik ang labas ng OR. Weekend kasi kaya mga emergency cases lang mostly ang posted at naperform. I was about to go inside the elevator when someone grabbed my arm at pinasok ako sa isang pintuan. Alam ko ang katabi na pintuan ay CSR (Central Supply Office). Napapagitnaan kasi ito ng OR at DR at sa dulo ay NICU.

"Ano ba! Who are you?" galit na sigaw ko dito.
