Chapter 1 Late
Linda Clifford woke up to the blaring sound of her alarm, she stretched her hands and hit her alarm clock repeatedly"Ugggh"she complained inwardly,she turned her head to the clock absent mindedly and it read 8:34 am"No,no,no s**t"she muttered and rushed to the bathroom, taking her clothes off on the way.
Linda Clifford,werewolf,24,graduated from sixpress university sixpress with a doctorate degree, she's been searching for a job for a year while doing minial jobs after graduating from university.Finally,after a year of longing she got an interview in the pack house to be the pack's doctor and now she was late,the interview was scheduled for 9:00 am,she got there as fast as she could but she was still late with 15 minutes.
When she got there number tags had already been shared.
"Hi,ummm sorry I'm late,it was traffic,could I still get a number tag?"Linda said looking at the two receptionists sheepishly.
"You are 15 minutes late,and you expect us to give you a number tag so easily,so much for a mere doctor".
The first receptionist scoffed loudly and talked with disdain evident in her voice with that she walked out and deliberately pushed Linda making her stagger back a bit but she quickly regained her balance.
Linda looked at the retreating back of the first receptionist and continued pleading with the second receptionist.
"Please,this job means so much to me"
The other receptionist who seemed a bit friendlier smiled at Linda and said"Sorry,my colleague woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning,don't take what she said to heart, don't worry miss...?"
"Miss Clifford"Linda quickly replied smiling.
"Okay,this is your tag,I think you are the last person,so you're gonna have to stay a while today, anyway good luck,I look forward to working with you"She said stretching her hand to Linda.
Linda smiled at the receptionist and brought out her hand to shake the receptionist in a business like manner"Thank you miss...?"Linda asked.
"Miss Sandra"She replied with a friendly smile.
"Okay miss Sandra,I look forward to working with you too"With that she walked away waving Sandra.
Linda looked at the tag and saw that she was number 38, people had really reduced she thought,this wasn't actually her first time coming for this interview,this was the third and the last time,she was able to get through two screening tests,so she wasn't supposed to flop at the last round.
