SAMAEL’S POINT OF VIEW
“Who?”
I followed behind her hurried steps, not having a clue where she was headed to.
“Ker said that two of my brothers are waiting for me in the school. I have no idea which among the six. If it is Adam, I am dead for sure.”
Kiara was talking more to herself than to me, and I understood the reason behind her restlessness. She was skipping school and that too with Lucifer’s son. Will they start a fight with me? And how the hell did they get the permission to visit our school? Don’t they have to, like, get an appointment or something?
“Where are you going?”
I asked as she was running further inside the museum.
“Isn’t this the way to the car park? I can’t remember properly.”
I smiled and pulled her bag to me, making her stop in her tracks.
“It’s the other way. You are going to the opposite direction. Come on.”
Men and women of different age group were eyeing at the two of us, especially the former category, taking their time to check out Kiara. I have been noticing it from the moment we entered the museum and have even glared at a few of them for scanning her from head to toe, however she was oblivious to her surrounding.
“Oh, really? God, I am so dead today.”
I guided her out of the museum and slammed on the accelerator. If it was in a different situation, she would have yelled at me to slow down, but since she really wanted to reach the school so badly, Kiara just shut her eyes and grabbed on to the roof handle for her dear life.
It only took half the time for us to reach our destination and once the large stone wall was visible, Kiara exhaled in relief.
“I can walk from here.”
She said, and I nodded my head. Of course, she wouldn’t want her brothers to see me with her. Despite the slight discontent I felt, I parked the car outside and waited for her to get out, but she just remained in her position. Kiara was staring at the iron gates, deep in thought, and bit her lips in confusion.
“Why in the world am I trying to be so secretive? I can’t lie, anyway. Do you mind meeting my brothers? I don’t want them to get any wrong ideas about you.”
Why the f**k am I smiling? Get your head out of the fantasy world, Samael. Although I felt guilty for trying to get close to her only to take advantage of her in the end, I helped her with the studies sincerely for the past month and I was glad that she appreciated my efforts.
“Not a problem.”
I winked at her and changed the gear before driving straight to the awaiting school ground.
Students were clustering in the open hallways, peeping at the two large men leaning on a sleek looking black car. Their back was against me and I couldn’t see their faces, but Kiara seems to recognize her brothers as she squealed and waited enthusiastically for me to stop.
On hearing the unknown vehicle approaching, both the guys turned and one of their eyes met mine, which then moved onto Kiara.
She hopped out of the car and literally sprinted to the intimidating looking angels. The one who looked at me opened his arms wide and she jumped into his welcoming hug.
“I missed you.”
Kiara exclaimed, loud enough for me to hear and the other guy who was standing beside the younger looking one joined the group hug. I could see demons murmuring ‘aww’ and ‘that’s so cute’ on seeing the happy family reunion. I can’t blame them. Most of the teenagers present here still don’t know the actual meaning of sibling love, and they think it is a myth.
“We missed you too, Ara. The principal said you were out for a mini study tour.”
Ara? Is that her pet name? It’s kind of cute. I opened the door and slowly got out of the car, driving their attention to me. Since they mentioned about the tour, I assumed it was my time for introduction and made slow and steady steps towards them.
I maintained enough space between us and looked at Kiara, who had a curious expression on her face. What? Did she think I would leave without introducing myself? Her brothers might intimidate the cowards in heaven, but their sizes and glares don’t affect me. In fact, I wasn’t shorter than them. Maybe my built was lightly leaner than theirs, but it’s not like we will engage in a physical fight, or so I guess.
“I am Samael, Kiara’s personal tutor.”
The one who initially hugged Kiara glanced at her in wide eyes. So he knows who I am. She nodded her head in return and both the guys bowed to me, just like how Kiara did before, and I reciprocated their gesture. Shaking hands was not an option, and I didn’t want them to think that I was an enemy.
The first guy, who looked older than the other, gave me a strained smile. Can they read minds? I hope not.
“I am Reuben Storm Michael. Her second brother.”
I shook my head in acknowledgement and turned to the younger one.
“Myself Ezra White Michael, the sixth brother. I have heard a lot about you.”
Was that a warning? Was he emphasizing that he knows who I am and doesn’t want me to act friendly?
I noticed Kiara pinching her immediate brother on his back, and I just smiled. It’s obvious that they see me as a threat to their sister, and it was my duty to prove them wrong, at least for now.
“It is a pleasure to meet you guys. As the only son of the ruler, I welcome you to the underworld and to Devil’s High with all my heart.”
Damn, that was smooth. Father would have been so proud to see me fulfilling my duties for the first time.
“Thank you, Samael. Likewise.”
Reuben said, his smile a little genuine than before.
“Where is the other guy?”
Ezra asked Kiara, and both our eyebrows scrunched in confusion. Other guy? Who?
“The guy whom you could touch.”
Ah, Leviathan. Are they here to meet him? Do they know something? Before Kiara could say anything, I interfered.
“You mean, Leviathan? He is my best friend. Do you want to meet him?”
Kiara eyed at me suspiciously, but I just ignored her. First of all, I do not want them to meet him personally without me, and second, I was apprehensive for him to meet these large men alone.
“Is that okay? I was really intrigued after reading the letter and accompanied Reuben as he was coming to meet our sister.”
The protectiveness when he said ‘our sister’ made me realize how much they love her. Will I ever be such a brother to Morana. I rarely see her, but I am certain that she loves me more than our parents.
“Sure. I will call him and we can meet in an empty classroom.”

KIARA’S POINT OF VIEW
I didn’t know what Samael was up to. But whatever it was, he was being mysterious, as his energy wasn’t dangerous but rather different. Reuben and Ezra might have also noticed it; otherwise, we wouldn’t be sitting inside an empty classroom, waiting for his friend to come.
Both of them were eyeing at me occasionally, and I knew that I would be bomb raided with questions once we get our private space.
“Kia.”
I smiled as I saw Keres’ small head popping inside the door and I waved at her to come inside. She shyly made her way to me and bowed at the older guys. I can tell that just like the others, she was also affected by their beauty.
“Brothers, this is Keres, my best friend. You remember her from the letters, right?”
She mumbled a ‘hello’ and Reuben and Ezra bowed at her as well, respectfully.
“Thank you for being there for our sister. Rachel was worried at first to know about your new friend, but now she has sent this small gift for you for taking care of Ara.”
Ezra handed her a small pouch, and I saw Kiara taking out a bracelet made of gold wings. Of course, Rachel was the best, and I was relieved t know that she has accepted Keres as a friend.
“Oh my devil, it’s so beautiful. Please convey her my gratitude. And it was Kiara who helped me. She has been the best friend I never had.”
We could feel her honesty, and Reuben grinned at her widely. He had a proud look on his face and I realized that he was happy I made new friends.
“You called for us?”
Asmodeus entered the room first, followed by Damien and Leviathan. Their energy was quite serious and Ezra glanced at Reuben to be more hospitable. Their introductions were tense, and I was feeling nauseous with all the mixed auras surrounding me. I should have expected it.
“Who among you can touch her?”
Reuben asked without delaying it any longer, and Leviathan walked forward. Samael instantly stood next to him and I knew that he was afraid of his friend’s safety.
“May I shake hands with you?”
Ezra extended his arm, and I waited to see the result. Will he able to make contact?
Leviathan took Ezra's palm delicately but bounced back abruptly, cursing out loud in pain. Ezra too was massaging his palm vigorously, and I met Samael’s equally astonished eyes.
It was just me.
