POV Cadmus “It’s not that bad Cadmus” Ike remarked, as he watched me take my staggering steps towards him. I wanted to scream at him for lying to me. Anyone could tell that I was in immense pain. I looked towards Ike to explain my exact thoughts, but was disrupted by a snicker at the door. “If that’s not bad then I don’t know what is.” Travis commented. Ike glared at him, but it didn’t last too long, as Travis then grabbed Ike, folding him into his embrace. I looked away, they had been all lovey-dovey together the minute they found out they were second chance mates. Ike had lost his best friend, and mate Walter, during the battle five months ago. Travis and he bonded over having a lost mate, next thing you know they come running up to me, all giddy explaining how they were second chance
