Sleepy heads

I got home in the late hours of dawn. It was 3 : 30am my girls and I got to our concrete heaven drunk in our vertigo.
I trudged up the stares swinging from left to right looking for the path that leads to my bed room.
I entered my room and plonked my body on my bed and fell asleep immediately.
Dawn passed and the morning sun brushed my windows whisking its energy rays through my casement.
The reflected light collapsed on my face prompting me to wake up. It was almost afternoon.
I woke up and sat on my bed while I felt a very sharp pain in my head. "Oh no its not time for a hang over yet"I mourned.
I took off my heels and accessories and walked straight to the sink in my bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth.
I sat in the bath tub and ushered myself a hot bath and put on a casual dress.
But I still suffered a hungover from my drunkenness.
I prepared a hot coffee to help suppress the pain.
I went out for a morning stroll to help regain my strenght.
I walked about three miles from my house and rested under a big nourishing tree.
The red autumn leaves fell upon my hair and I shook my hair so the dry leaves could fall off my head.
I stood up and turned pointing towards the path to my house.
I was almost half way through the three miles back to the house when I saw the same guy I met at the club in jogging suit standing about 8 feet ahead of me under a guava tree.
I pretented i had not seen him and almost walked passed him when he voiced out my name.
"Khloe!" he mentioned and I stood still and turned to look at him.
"Stalking me again?" I murmured and rolled my eyeballs.
"Oh no please, I'm just out to exercise. Besides I've never stalked anyone in my life. I live twelve blocks from here"he said.
"Oh ok" I whispered. "Mmmh.....your name again " I asked.
"Michael" he said and chuckled.
"Ok...see you around" I said and rushed off.
"Morning sleepy heads" I greeted my friends.
They were already having breakfast so I hurried to join in and we talked about the things that happened at the club and as usual they mocked me because of the guy at club yesterday.
"Oh speaking of the devil, guess who I met" I muttered with a blushing face.
..."Ooops girl, you're blushing.... "Eva whispered.
"Oh! I think I know....it's the dude from the club right, it shows on your face girl...same look like club time" Malia said and chuckled.
"oh girl please cut the crap, I'm not blushing I was just surprised to see him again"I said with my eyes rolling.
"listen,listen,listen y'all , I'm the last man standing and I've not uttered a word so please allow me to speak my mind" Emelia noted with a slight smile and twisted mouth.
She continued with a smiley Winkle face"look I think our little tinkle Duffy doll here is finally falling for some duych guy so the next time I see him I will make sure I get the chance to thank him ".
They all fell in to a pit of laughter. I shook my head and ambled to the staircase"Truth is.... Mmmh he is not my type of man even if....." I turned speedily and said.
"Even if.....What ?" Malia shouted. The girl fun continued in the house as we watched Netflix the whole day, playing and gossiping about unnecessary stuffs like guys and their sausage sizes.
"Oh sh*t!... girls!"I shouted."What is again ?" Eva asked. "Its evening already , its 8pm and we've not even had supper yet " I shouted in response.
Then they realized they had to eat and all three rushed to kitchen to look for food.
"Damn...girls do you have to take your lazy butts to this extent?"I voiced in a whimsical mood as washed the dishes.
"Have you eaten yourself lover girl" Emelia said slightly pissed.
"oh yes baby girl , when you were busy sniffing your noses in to other people's businesses ,I spent time filling belly"I said and winkled.
Then the spoiler alert came through "Hope we're going to the club today cause I miss the fun already " Malia said."actually no one is going to the club today"I responded.
"please,please ,please...."she pleaded.
"fine but only for a few hours, we need to leave early for mass tomorrow" I accepted her offer.
"Okay now let's stop waiting and and get ready cause we're leaving in ten" I pointed and left to get ready.
Now same as always we got ready took a taxi and to the club we went.
This time we spent just two hours and we drove back home.
It was Sunday again my girls and prepared for the morning mass.
We were never late for mass except today and we had to stand at the back of the gate till worship was over.
But what choice do I have other to wait.
Soon the gate was opened and we went inside to join the hour of praise.
As we danced my eyes flashed on someone I know but I didn't really pay attention.
Now mass was over girls and I mingled with our church members when I heard someone call my name.
I turned and its was Michael. "Oh hey, I didn't know you're a church boy" I noted in amazement.
"Well..you'll be surprised to know my other interests apart from clubbing"he replied with a smile.
"I didn't see you at the club yesterday"I asked. "I don't go clubbing on Saturdays" he replied.
"May be you should take a ride in my car so we can talk more " he offered.
"Mmmh...okay but can my girls come too?" I asked. "Oh why not" he replied.
So I run off to look for and he drove us home.
"Thank you handsome" Emelia said in cheesy way.
"you're welcome anytime" he said and chuckled.
"Mmmh, Hazel can I talk to you for a sec"he asked holding my hand.
I stared at his warmth hands hanging around my wrist then he let go.
"sorry"he said. I signed inwardly,"Its ok but you have to be fast"I replied.
"Ok then why don't we go have dinner later in the evening.
I will come pick you up at seven"he continued.
"Deal"I said with a faint smile and hurried off.
Later at seven I heard his car horn and came down to his car.
"Oh thank you"I said as he opened the car for me.
We drove to a near by restaurant and we spent some quality time over there and I had the chance to get to know him better.
The whole night I had not lost my sense of smile and I think I started to like him.
We got back into the car after dinner and we drove back home.
"I would love it if we could do this again sometime" he said smiling.
"Maybe some other time"I replied.
"Goodnight"he stared straight in to my eyes and gave me kiss on the cheek then I got off the car.
"Goodnight"I said and he drove off.
