The decision

"Hey girl, you gotta get your ass off my face " Malia shouted.
"Oh come on, just cool off a little bit, maybe this is the right decision for your future"I said calmly.
"I_I just don't wanna leave you guys, this is why I didn't want the others for hear it first "she shouted the words again.
" Girl, why do you make it sound like we're arguing or something..." I shouted at her.
I signed inwardly "look Malia, you know you're my baby girl right? but right now all I need from you is for you to calm down" I continued.
We kept on with our chip argument until we heard the front door bang.
It was the other two girls, Emelia and Eva. We immediately shut our conversion down but it seemed our sudden quietness manufactured a tensed atmosphere.
I could feel it right through their the looks on their faces.
"What's up with the long faces? and why the sudden mute?" Emelia quized.
"Mmmh , errh , .....n nothing"I answered. Emelia c****d her head slightly to one side staring straight into my eyes and gave me a frown gaze.
Her scare frown gave made me nervous and I started stammering.
" This is what happens when people try to lie especially when they are not liars, so please would you kindly tell us what the problem is ?" Emelia questioned intensively.
Her speech made me uncomfortable and I couldn't hold it in any longer.
"Malia I'm sorry but I think they deserve to know" I said tensely.
"Look girls, Malia's parents offered her a life in the UK and she is planning on regecting it.
I tired talking sense into her but she is not giving into it " I verbalized.
The two frowning faces standing right in front of us gradually turned smiley.
"Malia , this is a very good opportunity for you to lead a better life so why should you reject it " Eva calmly said.
"Please don't be a stupid hypocrite cause if you miss this chance you will regret it and you might end up blaming us one day if we pull back your legs so please you need to accept your parents offer" Eva uttered.
"Now you see you have all our support" I said giggling.
" I'm really gonna miss you girls cause their invitation is just two weeks time" Malia said sadly.
" Aww , we got you girl, group hug !" I shouted and we all run towards to give her a soothing hug.
We all sat to discuss how to see our friend off at the airport when Malia created another room discussion.
"So Hazel what is happening with you and the beautiful club dude?"she quizzed.
"Well, he asked me out and I said yes and we've also gotten very close lately.....I think I like him" I answered with a blushing smile.
I heard loud giggling behind me , it was Malia and Emelia.
"Uhhh ! It looks like someone is love" Eva voiced and they laughed.
"Anyways girls I'm off to my parent's place , see you in a bit" Malia said as she walked through the door and the door banged.
Well.....the sweet talk was cut or let's just say it has been postponed.
I sat behind my laptop and began to work on our new project in the office.
The other girls had also found something to keep them busy and the house gradually felt quiet.
"Pick me up I'm on the phone "our voice mail said as the telephone rang.
"I'll get it" Eva screamed and run towards the phone.
"Uhhh ! Hazel! Its for you"she shouted. I walked to phone to receive the call then a knock was heard at the door.
It was Michael. Eva offered him a seat as continued my conversion on the phone from the office.
The office secretary alerted me on the change in decision concerning the new project.
"Thank you very much, bye " I ended the call.
"Hi.... How are you doing "I asked Michael who was burying his face nearly in between in thighs.
"I'm good" he responded smiling and raised his head facing my direction.
"So.....to what do I own this surprise visit"I asked and perched in the couch sitting on his right hand side.
"Its nothing serious but I just wanted to invited you personally to my birthday party which is in two weeks"he answered and handed an invitation card to me .
"mmmh , I can't promise you but I will try and be there"I articulated.
" oh ! Please forgive my bad manners, what do I offer you? I have wine, whisky and fruit juice " he implored.
"Its too early for alcohol so fruit juice is fine"he answered.
I served him fruit juiced then plonked my body on the couch.
We chatted for a bit until he asked to be on his way.
"Let me walk you to the gate"I rendered and we walked to the door.
"Thank you I had a nice treat" he murmured with a blushing smile.
"You're welcome" I extended and signed inwardly.
"OK goodbye and see you at the party " he continued as he left the house.
"That was a very long chat " Eva presumed in hysteria with her lips pointing right to my face .
Her weird act threw me in swivet .
"Eva ! Don't tell me you were ease dropping on our conversation" I said uttered anxiously.
She winked and chuckled "it wasn't intentional though .....it just happened"she raised her hand in defense.
"Eva ! you are so so disgusting" I shouted. "Whatever.....!"She said and speedily run upstairs wet in shameless laughter.
I shook my head and went back to working on my project.
A few moments after Malia returned. She wore a long face.
"Babes, where from that long face?"I queried.
"Emelia ! Eva ! , Malia is here" I sort for the attention of the other girls.
We all quickly gathered around Malia. She looked very tired but that didn't stop us from quizzing her.
"What's wrong" we asked.
"I'm leaving in a week time" she answered.
"Why , so soon" Emelia whispered.
"That is what my parents want" Malia answered Emelia signing inwardly.
"Girls! I don't see why we have to make this feel like a nightmare .... we should rather be celebrating" I presumed.
"I agree" Eva seconded my opinion.
"I'll go get us some wine and glasses cause this right here needs to be celebrated"I said as walked to kitchen.
"Eva please come, help me with the glasses" I shouted.
We popped champaign and we celebrated our friend's success.
