"How's work?" She smiles at him through her phone screen during a video call. It's been five days since he's gone back to the Southern Metro and her father made sure Jacob was always too busy with meetings and personal appearances with clients to even have a chance to sneak away to see her. Samuel didn't say anything but somehow Jacob and Diana feel that he knew about him going away for a couple of days. It won't be too hard to guess where he went.
