After successfully escaping from the house, Elena was in a hotel in Oregon, lazing around, and waiting for Gabriel to keep her updated on how Daniel was handling the scandal.
She didn't want to be anywhere around Daniel when he came back, and thankfully, she had been able to get away from him and had also turned off her phone so that he couldn't reach her.
