[COMPLETE]

After 7 years of engagement comes a happy marriage supported by a wonderful husband and stable employment as a doctor.

Or so it was supposed to be.

Finally, after a decade of plotting, Leiya's supposedly gullible fiancé, Daniel, allowed himself to be stolen by her best friend, Michelle, who stopped at nothing to ensure that Leiya would have no future with him.

One rash decision led to Leiya quitting medical school one year before she graduated. She was fed up with her life and enraged with the desire to get revenge on the friends who made a fool out of her.

Without a second thought or experience, she enters the corporate world with a desire to become more successful than the newly engaged couple, who established their multimillion-dollar business together, and crush them on their own playing field.

She knew that she didn't have the money or the experience to compete with them, but those could be acquired in due time. She thought she knew what she was getting into. However, it turns out that the playing field was not as fair as she thought it was.

She would soon learn that the torture she experienced from her best friend for longer than a decade was something she could have never predicted, much less, avoided. Michelle was different on a genetic level, and once she learned a certain secret, she would be forever trapped in the world that existed in the shadows.

Just when her life couldn't get any worse, she ran into Andrei once again. Once she did, there was no escaping his shackles a second time. Andrei, irresistible to all and her first love, returns at her most vulnerable time after her breakup to finally reclaim the one that got away.

After she was left scarred by the breakup of her first engagement, she vowed never to fall in love until her revenge was complete, but Andrei was the one she secretly wished to be with, although she didn't want to admit it. However, even that wish, secret or not, proved to be challenging to fulfil in the face of a myriad of conflicts in Leiya's life as she gets swept up in a never-ending torrent of mind games and schemes. Not to mention, she had no choice but to work with him in order to survive the corporate battlefield and fulfil her desire of exacting revenge on her best friend.

From college dropout to entrepreneur queen. Can Leiya survive the turbulent corporate world and create a business even greater than her ex's?

What will happen when her ex-fiancé attempts to get her back?

Will Leiya get her sweet revenge, a sweet new romance...or both??

*CHAPTER 1: IRREVERSIBLE DECISIONS*
In just one week, I single-handedly destroyed my future with one impulsive decision and screwed up my life with two. Moreover, I never wanted to meet you again. After twenty-four years of living conservatively and doing everything my parents said to guarantee a safe future and long-lasting career, I did something irreversible. But I have already decided. I am going to overthrow that man's multi-million dollar company. And nothing could change my mind. "Leiya, you can take a break and then return after a year. It will give you time to think things over." "No, but thank you. I've made my decision. I'm quitting med school today." Looking at my adviser, her face was flushed and her lips trembled as she desperately tried to find the words to keep me from making a permanent life mistake. But there was nothing she could say to change my mind. She noticed the determination in my eyes and decided to say nothing further. I quietly rose from the chair while thanking her for the dedication and assistance she provided during my three years of medical school. That's right. Every waking second of med school I was infatuated with thoughts of it ending and finally reaching the starting point of my life. But with just a year until graduation, I dropped everything. A stable career. A fulfilling job. My parents' expectations. Naturally, I was prepared for the consequences. I packed up all my things in boxes and had them moved to a storage a week ago. Last evening when I told my parents I had dropped out, I was slashed with parting words of being reckless, foolish and ungrateful as I got kicked out. I grabbed my suitcase and purse and drove to my new apartment which I rented with the savings from my part-time job. Thankfully, my dad at least let me keep the car he bought for me for his own piece of mind. Now, there was no looking back. Ironically, I felt more laser-focused than during cramming sessions for exams. The only sound around me was the clacking of small black kitten heels strutting down the hall as I walked away from my advisor's office. The sound drew me in as if playing meditation music and I fell deeper into my thoughts. After throwing away years of hard work, I trembled at the thought of falling to a new starting point. But not because I was scared. As my eyes rose to take in the familiar campus scenery for the last time, the sky was piercingly blue and the sugar maple trees were more colourful than I'd ever seen. In Junior high, I had three best friends - Daniel, Michelle and Carlos. Daniel met Michelle and Carlos in the first year of junior high and became close friends. In the second year of junior high, I met Daniel first and then I became friends with Michelle and Carlos. Although I call them my best friends, I always felt excluded from their group. All three of their parents were business owners, so they had a lot in common. Initially, we would all hang out like normal friends, but towards the end of the second year they began working on a secret project that no one would tell me about. By the first year of high school, I was almost totally excluded as they were always working on their secret project and I was only connected to them by being Daniel's girlfriend. The truth is, I knew a little of what was going on but I pretended not to notice. For one, I wasn't an i***t, and secondly, Daniel's older brother, Saffil, kept me in the loop about what he knew, since the three of them often got together at Daniel's house to work on their project. I knew that they had started an online business called Merz, where they sold leads to luxury brands looking for clients. They even had an Insta account, so I've been following them. It was Carlos who told Daniel not to compromise the business by not inviting me to their meet-ups. When Saffil told me, I was speechless. I couldn't understand how he thought I was going to ruin their plans when there were probably a dozen similar companies out there already. Anyway, this was the first reason Carlos didn't want me around. The second reason involves Michelle, but what I didn't know back then was that the two reasons were really only part of Michelle's scheme this entire time. From the moment I met Michelle, she was extremely nice and we instantly became friends. I thought we could truly become best friends until I realized what her true goal was. I saw the way she looked at Daniel and how hard she tried to pretend that she was supporting my relationship with Daniel. She didn't stop at just liking him though. She wanted him for herself. She used every opportunity to get his attention when she thought I wasn't looking. She thought I didn't realize it because I didn't say anything, but I just didn't want to be petty. I thought Daniel loved me over everything and that our relationship wouldn't break just because of Michelle. But I was naïve. The fact that Daniel didn't think twice about going along with their 'advice' to exclude me from their meetings should have been a warning sign. Michelle and Carlos were against me from the start and Daniel was steeped in their influence. Honestly, it's no surprise they got their way even when I thought things were going well. What I don't know, however, is when exactly did Michelle succeed in ripping him away from me and how long was Daniel just pretending to just go along with our relationship while he was dating Michelle. Without realizing it, I arrived at my car. My face reflecting in the window was smiling like I won the lottery. At this point, I had completely forgotten about med school. The only emotion that remained was outrage at my ex-fiancé. I stared at the reflection in the mirror for some time before getting into the car. So that I wouldn't forget why I dropped out of med school, I stared back at the ugly smile seething with resentment and the face that eagerly looked forward to enacting revenge on the man that took me for a fool.
