Chapter Nine

The Malhotra Villa was all ready to witness the official union of two souls. Everyone was running here and there to get the last minute things done. It wasn't a very public affair rather a very closed and private affair just like DevAkshi's marriage.

"Awlee my baby! Veryyy cute" Sonakshi was cuddling with Shubhh when Dev slightly back hugged her and whispered "Even I am a baby! Pamper me too" Sonakshi giggled and kissed his cheek and said "Here I am, pampering you!!"

"Stop playing smart!" Dev said as a matter of fact to which she showed him her eyes.

All this was noticed by Manik who was dreaming  of his future. How he will back hug her and she will blush. How he will kiss her neck and she will tilt her neck. How he will cuddle her and she would snuggle to him. All this created nothing but beautiful feelings in his heart which were so pure and new.He smiled to himself and walked to his room.

7 P.M.

Everyone was present there. Right from the core relatives at the front, business delegates and doctors in midst. And the media at the last. Afterall, it was the engagement of the country's richest kid with the country's third-party richest kid. How happy would they be? Everyone thought. But does happiness only depends on Money? Ask them. For Manik, it was just some mere pieces of paper which just provided him the best facilities but the real happiness was his family. Seeing his family laughing was real happiness and now she would be a part of it. Giggling around the house, munching chocolates and cuddling with him. He was just so pleasant to think of the beautiful future. Maybe he was in love? But it was just some weeks since they met. 







All his thinking came to a halt when Nandini clad in a specially designed gown,coming to the stage with a smile adoring her face. 



He smiled, looking equally handsome walked towards her while she lifted her gown a little to climb the stage to which he forwarded his hand to her. She was looking so charming that this all was involuntary from his side. He wasn't in his control anymore. He was in her control now.



Everyone clapped as both of them stood near each other and hooted equally.

"Manik! Make her wear the ring" Cabir said to which he smiled and slid the ring in her left finger. She looked at her finger and smiled to herself remembering all those childhood days when she would refused to wear anything on that finger as it was specially saved for her d-day and it was here finally with the best man ever. 



"Kanna! Slide the ring" Divya said and patted her back to which she blushed lightly and made him wear the ring making him smile, really deep.



Everyone in the family were elated and they smiled their heart out while Shubhaan and Shubh too giggled at the duo.

"This calls for a celebration" Raj and Vivek hugged each other while the others too shared hugs except the duo who adjusted themselves on the seat decorated for them.4

The media went *click* and the news surrounded across the nation *THE BUSINESS PRINCE HAS GOT HIS PRINCESS. NOW, NO MORE A BACHELOR* *MANIK MALHOTRA IS ENGAGED!* *JUNIOR MALHOTRA HAS GOT HIS FIANCE* *WHEN RICHSTERS GOT HITCHED* And what not.

"Dance your heart out people" Cabir announced and everyone came up on the dsance floor designed just under the stage to enjoy the moment.

"Nandini! Meet Dhruv, My buddy and his wife, Alya" Dhruv smiled warmly at Nandini and hugged Manik while Alya hugged Nandini to which she smilingly reciprocated.

"Guys! Get yourself a drink" Manik suggested to which Dhruv smirked and teased "I understand buddy! You want to spend time with your fiancee right?" Nandini blushed while Manik decided to play along "So clever you are! Man..But no! Yes..I want to be with her so goooo!" Dhruv and Alya laughed and get off the stage while MaNan sat in the seat.

"So! Happy to be my fiancee?" He caressed her knuckles making her blush.

"Yes" She blushed making him smile hard "By the way, really sorry for forgetting! You are looking very pretty! You look like a princess" She smiled and lowered her eyes down and said "You too"

"What? I look like a princess?" He teased her to which she snapped her eyes at him "No! A prince"

He laughed which made her laugh too making the moment, a picture perfect one.

"Time for the couple of the evening to rock the dance floor" Dev announced to which Manik smiled and stood up "Shall we?" Nandini nodded looking into his eyes and they both walked to the dance floor for a dance.

As the melody started, his hand went towards her waist while another entwined with her hand while another hand of hers landed on his chest,right at his heart.

Both eyes locked with each other and smiles lingering in the faces. A pure and truthful smile.

As the song demanded, they tried out new steps like of pulling her closer, swaying her,picking her lightly and then twirling her.

The song ended but their moment didn't. They both were still looking at each other to which everyone giggled breaking their moment.

Everyone departed one after another after complimenting the decorations and the adorable couple and soon even the family members departed to their room and sleep took over the tired people quickly.

But there was two souls who couldn't sleep and the reason was of course their engagement. Nandini and Manik,both were blushing eyeing the ring in their rooms respectively thinking of their beautiful future together until peaceful slumber took their attention and drifted them to their very own dream land where there was just the two of them, amidst the flowers smiling and loving one another.
