Audrey Stone had been living a tough life right from little. Her life is plunged into bigger troubles when her boyfriend dumps her, taking all her saved money away with him. Audrey is heartbroken and devastated as she needs the money for her grandma's surgery. Knowing that there would be no chance for her to get that amount of money within the time frame she has been given at the hospital, Audrey decides to end her miserable life but gets saved by lord Adonis, the king of death. It had been many years without the presence of the king of deaths in the human world. Lord Adonis is cold and icy just as death itself is and wastes no time in getting rid of the death angels working for him whenever they go against the supreme rule by falling in love. Lord Adonis is back on earth this time around because his position as King of death is about to be taken away from him by his brother, Acris. To keep his position, lord Adonis has to find the one human whose blood could give him more powers and he had to find that human before Acris, his brother.Lord Adonis is surprised when he is suddenly teleported to where a human girl is about dying. He is only able to teleport back after saving her and when he touches her, he feels something strange, warmth. Warmth was the first stage of destruction of a death angel and even the king of death. They were supposed to be icy and cold. Leaving there, lord Adonis finds himself saving her from her attempts to die, again and this time he is seen by someone who recognizes him, Pearldina, a creature of the sea. It must not be heard that the king of death saved a human and so lord Adonis threatened Pearldina into silence. Audrey finally gives up on taking her life as she realizes that even death isn't ready to take her. She wishes to know who is always saving her but the only thing she remembers is a red necklace. Azrail, the second in command to lord Adonis is in search of a maid who can serve lord Adonis privately and he chooses Audrey. He pays off her grandmother's bills and Audrey is more than glad to work for him.Audrey immediately starts working and is taken aback to find that her boss has the red necklace that she was sure her savior had too. Unable to shake it off, Audrey boldly asks if he was the one who saved her. Adonis shuts her up coldly.

chapter 1
"Who... Who are you? How did you get in?" The aged man asked. He was bed ridden, his eyes were heavy voice was weak and his hands were shaking, trembling even as he shivered from what seemed like a bad cold. "I came in through the air" The other man responded, his voice filled with the manliness that his appearance alone could show. He was dressed in a three piece black suit and his eyes were of a special color, they were not black, not brown, not blue and not green, it was red and that was the natural color of his eyeballs. "Through the air?" The old man's voice croaked. "Yes and through the air will I take you away" "Who are you?" The old man shivered with fear as the other man approached him. "I am Adonis" "Get out of my home, young man!" He tried to sound firm. "Young man?" "I have been alive since the beginning of the earth" he stretched his hands out and grabbed the trembling hands of the old man. His hands were cold, bloody cold. "Wh... Who or what are you?" "Are you life?" The old man asked. "No. Life is warm.... Guess what is this cold?" He asked, trailing his cold fingers on the wrinkled skin of the old man. "D... death" the old man stuttered out. "Right" he grabbed the hands of the old man once more, making him feel the coldness of his hands, the coldness of death. Coldness washed over the body of the old man and then, his eyes shut and his heart stopped beating. "Pretty fun. It's nice to visit the human world again." Adonis pulled away from the man and took a step backwards, his cold gaze still on the dead man's body. He was the King of all death angels, the end of every living thing. The end of the first living thing and he would be the end of the last living thing. He turned backwards and vanished away, into thin air. * "The Death King is here!" "He... He is really here!" "He came to the human world himself!" "Are we in trouble?" Murmurings filled the air as the black limousine stopped in front of the huge mansion. The door of the car was pulled open by another and as soon as it was pulled open, silence fell across the entire mansion. Not even the breathing of the others in the mansion could be heard as a lot of them had their breath hitched. The King of Death Angels, Adonis had not come to the human world himself for over a million years but had spread his angels to take over the tasks of taking expired souls away and now he was suddenly back to the human world. It was frightening for every other death angel. A black shoe stepped out of the car first and then his head popped out of the car and then his other leg as he alighted from the car. His red sharp, fiery eyes looked around the mansion for a second before he looked forward. "Welcome the King Of Death!" His second in command raised his voice. Heads bowed as everyone single person on the way paved way for him to pass by. The shuffling of feet around could be heard clearly as they sought to hide from his cold eyes as much as possible. He walked past them, his eyes not paying attention to any of them. He got into the living room where there was a raised platform with a throne like chair. He spread his arms out and his second in command quickly removed the black jacket he was putting on. With his majestic steps and elegance not suffering a bit, he walked and settled himself onto the throne like chair. He looked at the angels of death who had gathered in the living room, trying to be as quiet as possible in order not to annoy their King. Annoying him was equivalent to their own deaths. As angels of death, they were all immortals but he could eliminate them with just the tap of his finger and he never seemed to hesitate to do so when it was needed. Their heads were all bowed as no one dared to look into the eyes of the King of Death. "Lord Adonis. We do wonder what the cause of your visit to the world is" his second in command spoke, trying hard to ensure that his voice was not too soft and yet not too harsh. "There is someone I must take myself. A little angel who I have to take away myself" he breathed out, his lips barely opening as his deep voice coursed out his words. "Yes, lord Adonis" "You all evacuate this mansion and get it filled with human maids for my needs" "As you wish, lord Adonis" Adonis eyes roamed around the crowd of death angels who all had their heads bowed down. His eyes rested on one of them. "Step out" His tone was as commanding as ever. The angel of death stepped out slowly, his legs bucking as sweats formed on his forehead which was supposed to be cold. "My... My lord Adonis" his voice was shaky just as much as his hands were. Adonis raised his hand up and the death angel levitated up into the air, choking and feeling strangled even though no one was holding onto him. "Lo....lord Adonis" he croaked out. Giving his raised up hand a swing, Adonis had the death angel slammed against the wall and his head oozed out red blood. The eyes of all death angels present widened. Death angels only had blue blood. Red blood, warmth, sweat were not things that death angels could feel. Once a death angel feels such, he has done the forbidden... He has fallen in love. "Love?" Adonis let out a scoff and levitated the coughing death angel with the movement of his hands once more. "Pl... Please have mercy" the death angel cried but mercy was not a thing for the king of death. His hands clenched into a fist and the face of the death angel turned pale. His body dropped to the floor harshly, oozing out more red blood. The others stared at the sight as the body of the death angel vanished slowly, fading away into thin air. He had broken the most important rule of never falling for a human and his punishment, he had received. "Love is forbidden! It is not a thing for death angels! Love is for humans! Whoever loves is not fit to be one of us!"
