The Warrior who Fail his Vow
“Love is the only war worth bleeding for.”
Long before the kingdom of Atheria became a land of golden towers and peaceful gardens, it was a kingdom surrounded by war.
At its borders stood a young warrior named Kael.
He was known throughout the kingdom as the Iron Wolf because he had never lost a battle. He fought for the crown, protected the innocent, and followed every command without question.
But Kael had one weakness.
Her name was Elara.
She was not a princess.
She did not wear a crown.
She was simply the girl who had known Kael before the sword, before the armor, and before the kingdom turned him into a warrior.
They had grown up together.
And although Kael never said what he felt, Elara understood him better than anyone.
Then came the night everything changed.
The king summoned Kael to the throne room.
“The northern army has crossed our borders,” the king announced. “You will lead our soldiers.”
Kael bowed.
“I will.”
The king placed a hand on his shoulder.
“You must make a vow.”
Kael looked up.
“Whatever it takes.”
The king's eyes hardened.
“You will never abandon the kingdom for one person.”
Kael hesitated.
Then he remembered Elara.
Still, he lowered his head.
“I vow it.”
He did not know that someday, that very vow would destroy everything he loved.
