Amelia's Mafia Man

Amelia "Ma'am here's your double espresso" I gave a polite smile to my mother while giving her a espresso. "Thank you sweetheart" My mother replied and gave me a kiss on my temple. I watched her drinking her espresso and the proud look she was giving me told me everything she wanted to say . I own three restaurants in California. One in Los Angeles , one in San Francisco and one in San Diego. I started with just a food truck and now after seven years of hard work. I have finally achieved this. "I'm going back tomorrow". I looked up to see her tear filled eyes and my own eyes welled up with tears. "Why don't you stay a bit longer, Mom." "I'm sorry Amelia but you know George and Titus are alone there . They need me". I ALSO NEED YOU MOM My Mom got married to George 5 years after my father died and had a son Titus. They both are sweethearts and love me as much as I love them. "I understand Mom. I will drive you to the airport tomorrow" ***** "Mom, call me when you reach there. I'm gonna Miss you". I pulled her into a hug and she hugged me back and just like that she left but not before kissing my temple. She loves doing that. I came back to my beautiful apartment and took a much needed shower then I made myself some cheese sandwiches. I ate my food in peace while watching the 5th episode of the Korean series , Flower of evil . I looked at the time and sighed . It was 2:30 am but not the time to sleep so I watched some more episodes and then went to sleep in my bedroom. ***** I couldn't sleep. I have had been feeling lonely lately. Not that I don't have anyone in my life who cares for me , I have my Mom, George, Titus, my friends but I want someone who loves me unconditionally , who loves me for who I am. I crave for that kind of love. The Kind that makes me feel butterflies, that makes me want to get married. The Kind of love that..... I sighed. I walked to my balcony and sat on the couch outside. I gazed at the stars until I fall asleep.
