Chapter Thirteen

Unknown POV                 I was sitting at my desk getting ready to go to the meeting with my men. I’ve had visions of recently. Of her. I felt an awakening of my blood. I know of everyone in my family that has had an awakening. There should be no others at this time that will be awakening. So it must be her’s. мой ребенок. (My Child.) My eyes glazed over. Seeing my men outside my door. I allowed them entry. Waving my hand the door opened. “Sir” they all greeted. It was time to tell them we needed to continue the search. She must be found now that her awakening has happened. She will have up to a year to choose her side. And I will be dammed if they get to her before me and sway her side. I could feel Emily’s light taken out of the equation about 4 summers ago. So she would no longer be in the way I just needed to find her.                 “Vik, has there been any news?” Liam asked me. Liam was a good soldier and my brother. He has been there from day one. We knew I would be gifted a child from the gods. As we both had seen the vision given to Emily. I would see it come true. The power I would gain with this child. Smiling at the thought. “Vik?” My brother questioned… gaining a stabbing look in which he sat down and shut his mouth. “As of now, no. has your lousy good for nothing daughter found her yet? She was given locations, money and her gift of finding should have already given her up to us!” slamming my fist down to the desk. Anger dripping off in waves around me.                 He gave me a look of death after hearing me full of distaste for his child. I did not care though. She was gifted the finding power. She was supposed to be the most powerful seeker. And here we are almost a decade later with no results. I was starting to regret letting her go to the Americas. She was useless. Gritting through his teeth he responded “No, but she senses her nearby. It is only a matter of time...” I cut him off with my fists, “She has been saying this for nearly a decade, Liam! Is she even looking!” Liam stood seething in anger at me, challenging me. He was about to respond when my phone rang, and I answered almost yelling at the caller. “uh… Ummm… uncle? Uhh, I will call you back you sound busy…” I did not give her the chance to hang up. “Awh sweet child we were just speaking about you. Go on what is my nieces' news. Do you have news?”                 Liam glared at me. Knowing I was just sweet-talking her even though moments before I was disgusted with her very existence. “I umm… Yes! Uncle, I found her…” A malicious smile graced my face at her words.
