If the venom gets into a human body through the bloodstream, it will change the human DNA and the blood as well, then a human will completely turn. However, not everyone will change into a vampire after a bit. Some humans still managed to survive without changing. The reaction of the vampire’s venom to each human is different. It depends on each human antibody, how to fight the venom. Once the “vampire-side” has taken over the person's body, the person will completely lose his senses and turn. But for Naohiro's case, it was quite rare and special. He somehow can still keep his human-sense after the transformation. That’s why he can feel guilt after hurting his wife. Now he just hopes both his wife and child will be okay. But it is just temporary, as he doesn't know when the vampire-side will take over his body completely. Since he was still conscious and maintained his human sense, he wanted to do something before he regretted it for the rest of his life. Then he’s waiting after midnight, he sneaks into the clinic to check on them. However he was so upset and angry at the same time when he found his wife already gone. He didn't know what to do, but he sure wanted to keep his son alive. So, he took his son away with him. He brought his child to a shrine to leave his child with a priest there, who was actually his acquaintance, since he doesn’t know anyone else that he can entrust to. So the priest was his only shot. For the record, the priest actually was his senior disciple when they both started to learn the Shinshōkaizan-ryū together when they were younger. For some reason, his disciple senior quit from the samurai thing, and joined the shrine to become a priest later. His name is “Tengen-Hōshi (Priest-Tengen)”. After hearing the story from Naohiro, the priest was also shocked that such a thing as the “blood-sucker” could exist in this world. Even though he is a priest , he never encountered a “real devil” in his entire life, so he was quite confused about how to raise this child. But a promise is still a promise. He will try his best to raise Naohiro's child like his own. Besides that, he was also pitiful to that child as no one would raise him, if one day his father also passed away. However, for this vampire, as it came from western country, the priests do not have much knowledge or information about this western vampire. So he can't teach much to the child in the future but still he will teach what he can and what he knows to this child later. Afterwards, Tengen-Hōshi takes the child and they move to Kyoto to stay away from Yokohama temporarily. On the other hand, Naohiro realized that his body was no longer human and it was impossible for him to return to his human-side anymore. He decided to take his own life before he changed completely. He told his senior to give his son the name “Keita” (means the “blessed one”). He hopes his son's journey will be blessed all the time. He also did not forget to tell his senior to teach his son about the Shinshōkaizan-ryū, since the world is not safe, he wanted his son to learn something so he can protect himself in the future. Afterwards, Naohiro was missing from the world, and no one knows where he is, alive or dead. Seven years later, the child has grown up. For the record, due to their rapid growth, a hybrid child will reach his/her full maturity with someone who looks to be seventeen in just seven years and will stay the same with an unchanging state, which means he/she will stop growing or aging and remain the same with his final appearance. When the child was just five months old, but the physical appearance already looks like that of a five years old kid, his master knew something was wrong. This child is not a normal child. So, he brought the child to meet an old friend who was a catholic reverend to discuss this child. After thorough checking, the reverend found out that the child was a “hybrid”, a half vampire and half human or the other name is “Dhampir”. Tengen was so shocked after he heard what the reverend said. This child would be dangerous to humankind in the future when he reaches his full maturity, the reverend continued. However, he does not bear to end this child's life. The reverend told tengen, if he wanted to keep this child alive and can live among humans, then he had the responsibility to teach, to guide the child so in the future he won't be a threat to humankind. Tengen thought for now, this is what he can do for the child currently. The rest, just leave it to fate. Not only that, slowly but slowly, the child's “vampire-side” symptom has appeared as the time goes by.
